Love that song. A timeless classic. I consider it to be the song that started the musical renaissance that was known as the 80’s. Yes, I know it came out in 1979, but it was the song that ended the dark ages of music, aka the 70’s.

{sigh}

Why couldn’t I have met her in 1981?

The video starts out with a night view of the World Trade Center. Now I'm pissed off. I never noticed that in the video before.

The TV show “WKRP In Cincinnati” was the first to play this song. They weren’t supposed to. Due to rules of the day, radio stations were designated to air it first. Just happened to be the next record on the stack on the TV show. Wasn’t going to be unveiled to the public for another two weeks.

Awesome flashback to the dawn of the 1980s.

I always thought this was Blondie's best tune:

She invented rap. I hate her.

My favorite Blonide song, her version of a classic rocksteady tune:

The Atomic Kittens did a great version of this song too:

A nostalgic trip back to the days of Ford Granadas, Sandinistas, the Malaise Speech, the New Jewel Movement and SALT II.

Saw her perform two summers ago a month after Trump announced. She said something uncalled for about Trump and immigration. Then she gave her pro tranny/homo speach. She stood in place without moving much. I wasn’t impressed and won’t be seing her band perform again.

Blondie will go down in musical history as one of the most underappreciated BANDS of the 20th century.

Funk on a level rarely practiced, reggae, rock, motown.

All done very well.

I bought the “Parallel Lines” album when it came out - the song “Don’t Leave Me Hanging On The Telephone” was why, along with Debbie Harry’s appearance on the cover. Kind of lost interest in the band after that album.

I’m going through an Eighties nostalgia flashback!

Reagan years were the best, and the music was part of it.

Besides lady Gaga, Blondie is purported to have been involved in one of those spirit cooking events, or at least some weird party/gathering with that Marina Abro-something chick from pizzagate Email fame. Yeah, after seeing those words bandied about on here I finally decided to see what’s it all about.
