A visitor to a South African national park captured the moment a group of white rhinoceroses charged at the tour group, sending the visitors running for the bushes.
The video, filmed Wednesday in Kruger National Park, shows the tour group and two rangers approaching a crash of white rhinos.
The rhinos notice the tourists nearby and apparently feel threatened, leading them to charge toward the humans.
A ranger can be hard shouting "Get in the bush," and the tourists comply, causing the rhinos to run right past them.
"I could feel the ground moving like an earthquake, we jumped into a bush and they thundered past about 4 feet from us, it was all over so quick but what an experience, it was both exhilarating and scary and we felt so privileged to have witnessed it," the filmer wrote.
Karl Rove is in South Africa?
Oooohhh, rHinos.
Were they starting campfires? The tourists, that is? /Gods...Crazy
Had one charge me at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
It backed off just before it hit the truck.
Was told later that they do it frequently, just to mess with the riders.
Giraffes are also jerks.
Yeah, they eat all of the low hanging fruit.
I was charged by a rhino in Nepal in 1982.
They’re pretty much blind, and I could hear through the grass that he was going to miss me by about 20 feet, so I stood my ground with the guide. Cool!
Most people would not give their group credit card to a rhinoceros especially knowing how fast even a dollar burns a hole in their pocket(s), so of course they'll pile on the charges.
All I want for Christmas is a rhinoceros.
Rhinos in South Africa Charge Tour Group
They tried charging Trump...and he shot down each and every one.
White RINOs, LOL LOL LOL!
I’m very surprised to see this video posted. I was in Kruger in August and took a lot of pictures, including rhinos which were very close. We were asked not to post any of our rhino pictures for fear of giving away their location to poachers. Apparently these rangers (or tourists) didn’t get the message.
What were Juan and Linda doing in Africa?
gotta be the first time the Bushes ever protected anyone from white rinos
