And so after everythingthe relentless lies, the twisted misogyny, the mocking of a disabled man, the racism open enough to have won the enthusiasm of white supremacists, the invitation to a foreign adversary to find and leak information damaging to his opponent, and all the rest of itwere hitting the point of no return. The Electoral College meets Monday, and unless he shoots someone on Fifth Avenue in the meantime, its done. The electors are going to certify him as the next president. As they do so, the electors will not be doing their job. Lots of people by now have written pieces, like this very good one by Peter Beinart, explaining that the Electoral College was created precisely to prevent a demagogue from taking office. This was the design even if such a move went against the will of the people. But in this case it wouldnt even be doing that, as Hillary Clinton won nearly 3 million more votes than Trump. Theyll be joining a long list of people who didnt do their jobs this past year. The list starts with the Republican Party and Reince Priebus. As Trump went from one outrage to the next in 2015, the Republican Party should have and could have found a way to stop him and unify behind one of the other candidates, all of whom, even Ted Cruz, fell within the scope of normal and werent utter demagogues who made their contempt for the Constitution plain. Priebus is now rewarded with a big important job, but for a president whos already not very popular and who will be besieged by scandal from the moment he says so help me God. Indeed, a couple more juicy CIA leaks between now and January 20 might persuade a majority of Americans that......

Delusional butthurt
Ha, just saw your post.
Why are all the “Colored” fists, in the rear?
Ed Klein says that the DC leased house will be used as a HQ for the inside work of the Obama inner circle and the California mansion will be the actual family home.
Correct. Their job is to confirm Hillary Clinton as president. Or whatever candidate our elitist betters select. Their job is not to adhere to the Constitution or to behave in a manner consistent with the Founders' intent; it is to promote the extreme agenda of the left wing.
Or so it appears from the ivory towers of our overlords ...
Isolated guys like this preaching to his supporters are self defeating, it is true. However the Media will continue to attack except not so blatantly.
Just watched Ted Koppel on CBS do a segment on the rise of the unregulated internet source of “False News” and what should be done about it, which of course was a call to restrict. It was all about the Democratic party side of the issue, with no Trump side at all. Closest was Glenn Beck saying he has had Damascus moment about being a birther.
This clever one sided view will persist throughout the Trump presidency. I fear that the style he has will make him waste time refuting these forays and distract him from his more important tasks.
Might persuade a majority of Americans who are unarmed, and don't believe in guns...
with 4.5m dead people having voted (the dead traditionally vote democrat)... and an unknown number of illegals...
Hillary lost the popular vote by a HUGE margin
this is why we MUST get a verifiable voting system in place
Trump got elected by ‘White Supremacists’? I guess when we were at the Trump Rallies I didn’t really see blacks, Indians or Hispanics there. My eyes were playing tricks as it was 100% whites at Trump Rallies.
... made their contempt for the Constitution plain...
No President has made their contempt for the Constitution as plain as Barack Hussein Obama. Another reason for the trouncing of Hillary Clinton.
Hillary received 4,149,500 votes in New York, and 8,753,788 in California, a total of 12,903,288 from just these two states.
Trump received 2,639,994 votes in New York, and 4,483,810 in California, a total of 7,123,804 from these two states.
So the difference in the popular vote accounted for by just these two states is 5,779,484. This is well beyond the popular vote difference in the national counts. So these two states account for ~double the difference in the popular vote. Trump won millions more from the total of the remaining 48 states. Does anyone who isn’t a liberal elitist really think that California and New York should decide who represents the rest of the country? Further, ~32-33 % of the populations of NYC and LA are foreign born, and ~49% of households in NYC and ~60% in LA speak a language other than English as their primary language.
Is the popular vote, predicated in large measure on the results from these two states, representative of the country? I don’t see how anyone could truly think this.
And yet idiots like the one who wrote this garbage are not the least bit concerned about the many lies Clinton told in her long storied (lying) career.
Tomasky suffers from the affliction of believing what he sees on TV. It’s hard to believe that anyone could accidentally end up exactly 180 degrees out of phase with reality. No, I blame the media.
I fear that the style he has will make him waste time refuting these forays and distract him from his more important tasks.
I disagree. I believe it is his strength. For all too long the left has had free shots at their opposition. They knew they could make any outlandish accusation and their opposition would either not respond or be ridiculed if they did.
Trump can respond with his tweets - He can poke them in the eye while overturning many of the left’s sacred cows.
Thee is so much he can do as the Chief Executive Officer of the Executive branch that will make life easier for the average American.
So I say keep it up.
Ah yes, the old clinched fist of socialism.
😀
Doesn’t matter in any way whatsoever.
Obama can be handed over to Egypt at any time.
He will not be residing in the United States and undermining the Trump administration from within the United States.
He was a puppet anyway.
It's how we blindsided them... liberals live in a world that doesn't exist.
