Russian President Vladimir Putin was behind a hacking operation that exposed the Democratic National Committee and other targets during the U.S. presidential election, according to sources speaking with NBC News. The two U.S. officials told NBC that Putin had a "vendetta" against Hillary Clinton and had a goal of exposing corruption in U.S. politics. They have "high confidence" in the intelligence they received.
Putin's objectives were multifaceted, a high-level intelligence source told NBC News. What began as a "vendetta" against Hillary Clinton morphed into an effort to show corruption in American politics and to "split off key American allies by creating the image that [other countries] couldn't depend on the U.S. to be a credible global leader anymore," the official said.
If true, Democrats and liberal pundits have more ammunition to try and prove that Russia helped swing the election for Donald Trump.
President Obama got the ball rolling when he demanded a full review of the hack last Friday. Yet, the agencies looking into the matter are not on the same page. Multiple congressional committees are also planning on launching investigations into the hacking claims.

The real thing is that it is not even relevant. One has to assume that anything hackable has been, is being, and/or will be hacked. It doesn’t matter who did it even if Adolph Hitler did it from the grave. Secret information is like a commodity. Once it is out of the mine it is public. The content is what is important. If it were lies then it would be reprehensible but of little effect. The fact of the prevarication would be trumpeted louder than anything else. The revealing thing here is that there are no denials, no claims of it being untruth. To Democrats and leftists of all stripes Facts are the evil things and anyone who exposes Facts is evil and the Facts must be ignored because evil people have demonstrated them.
The guy down at the cafeteria who made the statements and became the “sources” in the first place has high confidence in their veracity. He just knows- he is confident that the Russians would do something like that.

It’s a report, and we are reporters. Do you doubt our reporting? What we report is reported. And then it’s cited by reports from all the other reporters so you know it’s true, because it’s been reported.
Two unnamed “U.S. officials”, huh? And this is coming from NBC News, right?
Did NBC News happen to ask them whether the CONTENT of the emails was real?

Until I see some NAMES attached to those 'sources', I'll continue to consider them 'concern trolls' spouting fake news.

Have one stooge run out and create a lie based on “unnamed sources” that may not even exist. Then all the little fake news organs endlessly repeat and distort the lie hoping if the lie is repeated often enough it become perceived as truth.
