Lead researcher Professor Lorelei Mucci, from Harvard University, said the findings could be due to 'modest women'. She said they may be loathed to admit they can smell the distinctive odour in their urine.

I love asparagus but can always tell that smell afterwards. I also HATE HATE HATE cilantro, which is also a genetic thing as well, apparently.
He can be brown or greenish brown . . .

In my experience, canned beets don’t do it; but fresh ones do.

They tell me it’s because of my genes why i find the taste of Cilantro/Colander to be what liquid Freon ChlorohydropolyvinylformobutylmethylpropylisoselentrimethylbenzenemethonapthapoloniumisocyaticpolyvynilpropyleneacronyltilePolytetrafluoroethylene must taste like.

Yes cilantro HAS to be the NASTIEST tasting food on the planet.

I also read that i guess that it’s in my genes.
I think it is genetic. I love the flavor it gives to some dishes; but even some very accomplished cooks, such as Julia Child, haven’t liked it.
Wrap them in bacon and grill. Tedious but worth the effort.
I used to dislike them too.
Not anymore.
Bacon doesn’t need asparagus.
Coffee, too.
It smells weird, tastes worse.
