Wisconsin State law states: When a filing fee is required, the cost of the recount should be estimated by the clerk and pre-paid by the petitioner in cash or in another form of payment acceptable to the filing officer at the time of filing. Wis. Stat. § 9.01(1)(ag)3. Note: the amount must be PRE-PAID IN FULL BEFORE FILING, and FILING DEADLINE WAS FRIDAY. The WISCONSIN ELECTION COMMISSION CANNOT CHANGE THE DATE of PREPAYMENT Under Federal law, 3 U.S.C. § 5.
Of course, rules are different for Democrats. But this one seems pretty clear.
we makes da roos ups as weze goze alongs.
“Different?” Try “non existent unless they help my cause.”
Simple. Tell the MSM not to report that!
” ‘There’s a little bit of ambiguity in the statutes,’ Haas said. ‘In one place, it states that the fee must be paid at the time the petition is filed; another statute indicates once the petition is filed, that’s when our agency calculates an estimate.’
this is pocket change in the sofa cushions for soros.
The Clinton Foundationistas want excuses so they can claim republicans prevented a fair recount...Did they ever stop complaining about the Supreme Court in 2000?
Great research. This is over. Trump team is all over this quick.
The MSM would gleefully report something along these lines:
"A Republican-backed attempt to challenge the lawful results of the recent presidential election was quashed today by a federal judge in Madison, Wisconsin."A spokesman for the incoming Clinton administration scoffed at the effort, which she characterized as "a pathetic joke" and a "keystone cops routine, typical of the desperation and panic in which the Republican party finds itself not that its election fantasy has come face to face with reality."
I would hope DJT would be capable of coming up with a similarly aggressive counter-strike, but I'm not counting on it, if for no other reason than I don't think he has the ability to pick up a phone and get two or three Supreme Court justices to help him correctly target his judicial strategy, like the Democrats do when they have a national issue to deal with.
So Jill gets to keep the soroz money after all. Just as some of us suspected was the plan. Ha!

This is how it works in WI. All court challenges go to Dane County District Courts, that would be Madistan. Liberals all. Even though our Supreme Court, governor and both houses of the legislature are conservative. Probably why Stein picked WI first.
Or just “deem” it paid.
“would instantly hire a David Boies”
FYI...Trump hired one of the best election attorneys in the country last Wed....he is already working on WI.
Thank god, because that’s where you want a little bit of ambiguity in the statutes.
Jesus these people are screwed up. I have no doubt they do it on purpose so they can just do whatever the hell they want.
..Of course, rules are different for Democrats. But this one seems pretty clear....
In every case, no matter what the issue, or the circumstances, or the facts, the rules are ALWAYS different for Democrats.
Keeping that in mind, if a liberal judge has to rule on this, paying in this manner is simply a matter of form over substance, and the substance is that a request was filed and that’s it and that a fee was paid. That’s all that matters.
Is this more fake news?
How do federal statutes control state finances for a recount?
