Win or lose, Trump has emasculated ruling class
WND ^ | 11/7/2016 | Pat Buchanan

Posted on 11/08/2016 7:34:06 AM PST by jonno

"If I don't win, this will be the greatest waste of time, money and energy in my lifetime," says Donald Trump.

Herewith, a dissent. Whatever happens Tuesday, Trump has made history and has forever changed American politics.

Though a novice in politics, he captured the party of Lincoln with the largest turnout of primary voters ever, and he has inflicted wounds on the nation's ruling class from which it may not soon recover.

Bush I and II, Mitt Romney, the neocons and the GOP commentariat all denounced Trump as morally and temperamentally unfit. Yet, seven of eight Republicans are voting for Trump, and he drew the largest and most enthusiastic crowds of any GOP nominee.

Not only did he rout the Republican elites, he ash-canned their agenda and repudiated the wars into which they plunged the country.

Trump did not create the forces that propelled his candidacy, but he recognized them, tapped into them and unleashed a gusher of nationalism and populism that will not soon dissipate.

Whatever happens Tuesday, there is no going back now.

How could the Republican establishment advance anew the trade and immigration policies that their base has so thunderously rejected?

How can the GOP establishment credibly claim to speak for a party that spent the last year cheering a candidate who repudiated the last two Republican presidents and the last two Republican nominees?

Do mainstream Republicans think that should Trump lose a Bush Restoration lies ahead? The dynasty is as dead as the Romanovs.

The media, whose reputation has sunk to congressional depths, has also suffered a blow to their credibility.

Wishful thinking. We have a battle with congress to get things done if Trump is elected and a disaster if Hillary is. Either way are work is not done and evil never takes a day off.

Trump has done what the Tea Party never was able to: rally the “We the People” class behind a unified theme to “Make America Great Again”.

Let me add a quote from another great “Pat” - Pat Caddell, a Democrat pollster, who has nailed it here:

“Unfortunately, the analysts, the pollsters and most importantly the commentariat of the political class have never understood, and in fact are psychologically incapable of understanding what is happening. And for the entire cycle of this presidential campaign they have failed to grasp what was happening before their eyes – for it runs counter to everything they believe about themselves.

In truth, they are suffering from cognitive dissonance believing in their righteous superiority and are not capable of realizing that it is they who have become the adversary of the American people. And therefore they have been wrong, in this entire election cycle, every step of the way.”

And a final quote from Caddell:

“But, make no mistake, whatever the outcome, this revolt is not ending, it is merely beginning.”

Nope, Pat is wrong

If Trump loses,

1) The narrative would be the Republicans should have gone with one of the elite who would have won instead of a racist, misogynist xenophobe and the Republicans should be more moderate and work with the Democrats.

2) The Elite Republicans will take the lose as a sign they can pass amnesty without consequences and will gladly go along with Hillary.

3) Illegal Immigrants and Muslims will flood the country and Game over

This is the thing the Dc Media/Political machine does not get. You can lie, cheat manipulate Hillary into office but she is irreparably damaged goods. She will have zero ability to govern. She will face a non stop poltical insurgency from day 1.

The issues and problems of the Trump/Sanders voters are only going to continue to fester and boil.

They may clamp a lid on the boiling pot today but it is still going to be boiling.

Emasculation doesn’t count until the media’s collective gonads are nailed to a very tall post.

They need to learn their history. No system can survive without the consent of the governed.

It is still a matter of ballots for now. History shows that can change in even the most seemingly stable political systems.

Agreed. Any (so-called) republican who thinks that a Hillary administration is acceptable is severely morally & intellectually flawed.

Even if Trump wins, I don't think the ruling class has been emasculated just yet. It'll be a good start though.

Trump will need to:

Praying for a Trump landslide or better than expected showing....AND a mandate to congress.

We’re tired of your $4!7. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

A mandate (landslide) would help cow the GOPe, and help DJT accomplish your list. Nothing motivates them more than the thought that their applecart might be upended by voting against a popular, successful president (ala Reagan).

Pat raises a lot of good points here, but he's really delusional about the long-term impact of this election if Trump loses.

You're not going to see another candidate like this for another 25-30 years, if at all. I see the nation breaking down into three major factions: Wall Street Globalists (the Democrat-Republican Party that has effectively been in place since 1988), Marxists (Bernie Sanders' supporters) and Nationalists (Trump supporters).

The Marxists and Nationalists will never muster enough strength to even put up a presidential candidate for a long time -- let alone win a presidential election.

If Trump loses, the best course of action will be to simply tune out the government and let the 'effing thing collapse.

I think we are being optimistic to think there will be an election after Hil-liar-y is installed. I think the USA will not survive and we will become part of the Countries of the UN. That is her agenda and she has been talking about that for years. Yes, the rulers will be beastial...so? they already are. Wasn’t pedophilia rampant in Greek and Roman times? So were vomitoriums. Our future with Hil-liar-y will never be anything like we have ever envisioned and you will have to gather for prayer 5 times a day into the future....

Has anyone ever asked her if she is Muslim? I would not be surprised to find she had converted years and years ago.

Hahahaha, no.....they were ALREADY emasculated and THAT’S the problem: The country/world has been increasingly FEMINIZED which has directly resulted in its downfall.

I am hopeful the American people someday decide that they too yearn for freedom and rise up to throw off the shackles of the ruling class.
