Just got my renewal for Blue Cross here in Texas. A 67% increase and deductible raised from $6000 to $6500.
Have you considered the Christian health sharing ministries?
But that price you get free birth control, and you are promised that you’ll save $2500 a year. Some day.
Thank you Justice Roberts, you douche. You have a position that you cannot be fired from and yet you lacked the cojones to do the right thing in ruling ACA unconstitutional.
Justice Roberts should be disrobed and caned.
Teach those kids what a surprise is, just like 0dungacare.
If you just pay the fine, you can go without insurance. When something does happen to you, then you get coverage. After all they can’t turn you down for a preexisting condition, right?
Of course I’m being sarcastic (towards the ACA, not you), but I suspect that’s what a lot of people are doing.
Ezekiel Emanuel says it’s no big deal - just suck it up. And by the way, if you’re 75 you need to die.
We live in Texas. My son’s BCBS renewal came today, and the new policy’s increase is a little over sixty percent. Obama and his minions don’t care, have never cared, and couldn’t care if they tried. The little people are simply there to be used and abused to grab more power for the government.
Obama say to shop around, you will be pleasantly surprised.
The Muslim refugees will not have to pay anything.
I wish I knew how to start a Twitter thread - or whatever it is you call it - hashtag it my new Obamacare premium - and also hashtag it Hillary Clinton - that way everyone who is following her would get the same message re how much premiums have gone up. Incidentally I have Medishare and our premium is less than $500 a month - although our deductible is $5k. With Bcbs when Obamacare went into effect our premium would have been $1167 a month with a $12k deductible. That’s about $24k BEFORE insurance kicked in. No telling what it would be now.
Mine just got cancelled, will be shopping for a new plan Nov 1. Thanks Obama!
I just sent my first check in for cobra coverage since I got let go from work. My wife asked if we needed to.
my answer: well for 18 months or until I can manage a new job (more likely) we have locked in rates and don’t need to worry about clearing any entry hurdles.
I think you can only sign up for a couple of months during the enrollment period. If something big happens while you’re not covered you are at risk of losing your assets.
So much for that conspiracy theory.
Younger if you can’t muster a passing number on the “economic viability” valuation.
Join the club.
My premiums have doubled for the same policy - except that deductible amounts and co-pays have risen enormously.
My monthly premium jumped from $440 to $610, a 38.64% increase. The insurer is BCBS of Illinois.
