I would normally agree with you, but this election is a bit different. There are too many, in my opinion, fence-sitters in the Christian camp who are reluctant to vote Trump and are considering sitting it out. I know a few. This type of information could very well bring them back.

One would have to assume Team Clinton already knows the identity of this person. They have to be nervous. What are the odds they have all the opposition research already conducted on this guy. I don't know what Trump's media ads are saying, but I'll bet they are about "bold proposals" more than they are about this.

It's worth noting that neither candidate had much to say about "bold proposals" when they had 60-80 million people watching them during three televised debates.
