My personal jury is still out on it. But if it starts to veer towards Obama-land, I’m gone. I don’t care if it’s Keefer or not. Troubling is the fact that he seems like a pu$$y in the first two episodes.
I totally agree with your observation. I used to watch Blue Bloods also, until they had a terrorist attack and the reluctance of Muslims from a NYC mosque to cooperate in an investigation was shown as justified because of the bias and hatred of the “honkie cops”.
I set out up on my DVR but didn’t get around to watching it and probably won’t after reading this and Jazz Shaw’s review the other day. I get enough leftist propaganda every day through osmosis. I’m certainly not going to affirmatively subject myself to more.
Very disappointed last night, and the comments on the show’s message board on IMBD reflect that they are about to alienate half their audience.
Watched the first ep. Couldn’t get past 15 minutes of the second. Not hopeful.
I heard Rush talking about this show the other day. He said he can’t watch it anymore because of the second episode. I don’t have cable, but I found it on Amazon Prime (for a fee). I’m going to pass.
I haven’t watched this week’s episode yet but am in the same boat. If they show they don’t want us conservatives watching, I’ll happily oblige. There are other shows.
I saw the first week and taped Weeks 2 and 3.
My early verdict is that it’s good.
DOA Episode Two.
There was an earlier thread where most viewers bailed. I watched most of the 2nd episode but when they started showing a muslim kid getting beat I turned it off and stopped recording it. Any show coming out of hollywood with politics in it @#$^#^*%*(%^&. But I did watch west wing.
I was thinking I’d like to see it. glad I used my time other ways.
Braindead without the ants??? I stopped watching that one too.
I don’t necessarily mind a show which depicts Democrats as “the good guys”. Mind you, I don’t find such a plot device to be realistic, but I’m willing to grant a little poetic license and accept the possibility that Democrats might want to do good things for the country.
But I draw the line at plot devices which force people like me into a constant role of “threat to civilization”. It’s rude. It’s untrue. It’s boring. I don’t watch such propaganda.
Nope...I’m done with network (liberal) television. I don;t want their subtle jabs, their leftist group think pushed on me.
Designated survivor is exactly that.
If the SOTU address is attacked and everyone killed...it presumes that we actually want this government to continue. I for one, don’t want it to continue. I am sick and tired of it and everyone who occupies positions of power in all of the institution to the bureaucrats who run it.
But, the second week disappointed us with the introduction of the nasty overly ambitious "republican" female congressman and the quick slide into Hollywood politics making the General a blood thirsty hawk.
This week continued to slide into soap opera land. We'll give it one more shot, but it doesn't look promising.
I bet it will turn out to be a bunch of white male 2nd Amendment supporters who killed off the government. Or Donald Trump did it.
Or have they already identified the attackers?
Regardless, I won’t be wasting time with this junk.
Watching the second episode I was thinking geeze keifer must not be getting many offers. The show is senseless. Has the new president more interested in stepping away to emote to his wife than handling the new job
None of the characters are interesting or believable
But then they throw in this display of their erroneous thinking that republicans are racist xenophobes even ones who manage to get into a governors position in a major state
The worst is that of all the time kiefer spends dealing with the entire governing leaders having been killed at once, the most time, the dilemma, conflict, problem solving, the phone call to family, was spent in the Muslim kid and it was done because he was Muslim
The show is as idiotic as any sit com aimed at a middle school audience
I am in league with everyone else. I see it sliding to the left. About one more episode and I'm done.
Here's what really bugged me: When the Michigan governor decided to act on his own, he had every right to do so under the Constitution. To wit, Article IV, Section 4
...The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened), against domestic Violence.
(Clearly in the scenario of this show, the Legislature CANNOT be convened.)
The solution for those Muslims "Americans" who are being abused is to either fight back, or get out of Michigan to a more friendly state or country.
Fact is: if such a scenario were to accord as in the theme of this show (No federal congress or courts), power would by default go back to the states - provided the state(s) even DECIDED to send new representatives to an agreed place to meet.
This is good discussion to have in light of the Syrian issue possibly going nuclear (what - you think I simply read about push polls and the Trump trashing distraction daily?).
IIRC, 24 had an episode where all the muslims had been rounded up.
I don't like how they're portraying the military right now...especially the general.
I think if this scenario did unfold and the Sec HUD was prez, then the military, and pretty much everyone else, would wonder why was this idiot the DS.
Gonna give it one or two more episodes.
They’re likely to poison this show just like they did “24”.
I’ll pass.
