Fantasy football has slowed the demise of the NFL. Millions follow the players on their fantasy team, not a real team.

I can relate to that. I pay more attention to the progress/performance of Gonzaga players now in the NBA, or in foreign leagues. Mark Cuban killed my desire to root for the local Dallas Mavs, despite my respect for Dirk.

So my attention is focused on Kelly Olynyk in Boston, and Domantas Sabonis in OKC, to name two.

NFL season is now a war of attrition among mostly mediocre teams.
