I wonder if Cruz stumping in wi would help?
If he were to endorse Donald Trump, Kasich probably fears he’d never get another dime from the open borders lobby. So I’m afraid old John is going to hold out to the bitter end.
This is why Cruz is GREAT right where he is.
He gave a reasoned and well thought out response. And even if he does not like Trump, he knows HilLIARy would be a million times worse
[ Glenn Beck on suicide watch..]
No worries... he will find solace in the arms of Egghead McMullin...
Kaysick surely has a worse case of redbutt now than he ever had, because last week Trump and Reince Priebus took over the Ohio Repub Committee, yanked it away, and ol’ John has no say anymore. Ol’ John fooled around and crapped in his own nest. Dumb bird!
Don’t like Cruz, but he’s doing the right thing, and his statement is decent and respectful.
Credit where it’s due...

And it generates buzz and maintains interest in the Trump campaign while Hillary can barely get three people to appear at a rally in the corner booth at a Denny’s.
Welcome to the Trump Train Ted!!! A little late to the party, but a great statement none the less.
It seems like Luke 15:1132 is appropriate here: The Parable of the Lost Son
11 Jesus continued: There was a man who had two sons.a 12 The younger one said to his father, Father, give me my share of the estate.b So he divided his propertyc between them.
13 Not long after that, the younger son got together all he had, set off for a distant country and there squandered his wealthd in wild living. 14 After he had spent everything, there was a severe famine in that whole country, and he began to be in need. 15 So he went and hired himself out to a citizen of that country, who sent him to his fields to feed pigs.e 16 He longed to fill his stomach with the pods that the pigs were eating, but no one gave him anything.
17 When he came to his senses, he said, How many of my fathers hired servants have food to spare, and here I am starving to death! 18 I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinnedf against heaven and against you. 19 I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired servants. 20 So he got up and went to his father.
But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.g
21 The son said to him, Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you.h I am no longer worthy to be called your son.
22 But the father said to his servants, Quick! Bring the best robei and put it on him. Put a ring on his fingerj and sandals on his feet. 23 Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Lets have a feast and celebrate. 24 For this son of mine was dead and is alive again;k he was lost and is found. So they began to celebrate.l
25 Meanwhile, the older son was in the field. When he came near the house, he heard music and dancing. 26 So he called one of the servants and asked him what was going on. 27 Your brother has come, he replied, and your father has killed the fattened calf because he has him back safe and sound.
28 The older brother became angrym and refused to go in. So his father went out and pleaded with him. 29 But he answered his father, Look! All these years Ive been slaving for you and never disobeyed your orders. Yet you never gave me even a young goat so I could celebrate with my friends. 30 But when this son of yours who has squandered your propertyn with prostituteso comes home, you kill the fattened calf for him!
31 My son, the father said, you are always with me, and everything I have is yours. 32 But we had to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found. p
Sorry about the weird letters from a to p.
If he helps, I’ll take it.
I’m still sore about his convention shenanigans, but we’re in a war and I’m not gonna turn down help just because I think he might have an ulterior motive.
He might have a chance to rehabilitate himself in a few years. Depends on how he supports Trump’s programs in the Senate.
For now, let’s electorally mutilate Hillary.
Our country is in crisis. Hillary Clinton is manifestly unfit to be president, and her policies
would harm millions of Americans. And Donald Trump is the only thing standing in her way.
A year ago, I pledged to endorse the Republican nominee, and I am honoring that commitment.
And if you dont want to see a Hillary Clinton presidency, I encourage you to vote for him.
Glad he did it,but I NEVER want to see his lying, smirking face ever again. Don’t trust him one iota!
“What has changed about Trumps positions? NOTHING!”
Good point - says something about Cruz if it took him THIS LONG to figure out that are differences between Trump and Hillary.
Let it go! We need a landslide to intimidate the “politics as usual crowd in Congress” into adopting our agenda. That is more important than trying to pay anybody back for what now seems over!
I’m willing to...but couldn’t resist making that point.
In fact, if Trump wins and Cruz doesn’t double-back on this, I’ll even vote for Cruz in his Senate Primary in 18 months. But if Trump does lose, I will also hold Cruz accountable.
Trump finally came out and supported Cruz's leadership to deny the turnover of the internet to the UN (ICAN). This provided enough of an opening for Cruz to support Trump. I think they call this "politics".
As I recall there were a number of FReepers not that long ago who thought a Cruz/Trump or Trump/Cruz ticket would be a good thing. I don’t think so, because both have too much to contribute in their own domains to be sucked into Biden’s figurehead spot. Besides, Pence is 100x better than Biden.
Okey dokey.
Bet he wrote that statement months ago.
Whatever. I’ll take it.
So does this mean a bunch of Cruzers will be welcomed back to FR?
