For the most part, I like spiders. Where I live, there are a couple to be avoided, like Black Widows and Yellow Sac spiders. Admittedly, the huge Wolf spiders can get your attention if you come face-to-face with them, but they are cool. They can get pretty large.

The only spider I fear is a Recluse (at least what can be found around here). The others are not worth having a wreck.

She needed a Bissell car vac Tee,hee. My husband and I have seen every kind of stupid car accident ever. We have been claims adjusters for many years. Knew one woman who stepped out of her car while it was doing about 30 miles an hour because of spider phobia. She had been to a farmers market and had a bunch of yellow corn in the back seat and a spider hitched a ride in that corn and didn't wanna wear his seatbelt. She stepped out of that car pretty as you please and let it go right on without her, rolled off into a ditch and thankfully didn't kill anyone or damage anything too much really, except her car. Don't remember what company got nailed with that one. We are independent adjusters and work for I could write a book bigger than Bill Engvall's here's your sign show.

Sounds like brown recluse, they can have nasty bites and sometimes the wounds won’t heal.

    AHH! Gleason, Wisconsin.
Filming location for The Giant Spider Invasion.
My youngest Son and I made a road trip there two years ago.
He grew up watching the MST3K version of Bill Rebane’s classic.

I keep Prid and Activated Charcoal around for spider bites. I slap Prid on any spider bite since you don’t know how bad it is at the outset.

Cool! I miss those old b&w b-grade flicks. As soon as I get the HTPC dialed in I’ll have a lot of catching up to do.

I’d do it, too, if it were a snake. And when my mangled body was chiseled out of the car they’ll find that I’d had a heart attack before impact.
Spiders ... they don’t bother me.

To: Tax-chick
I was not aware there was a "spider season". And what would you want to hunt them for? They don't have much meat and they are a pain to skin.
