Years back, Microsoft began paying people to use its Bing search service via a program called Bing Rewards. Now, Microsoft will do the same with its Edge browser and other products.
Microsoft announced Wednesday that over the next few weeks, Bing Rewards will become Microsoft Rewards. The concept remains the same: The more you use or buy Microsoft products, the more freebies youll receive in return. With the debut of Microsoft Rewards, you'll also be able to accrue points by browsing with Edge or purchasing items at brick-and-mortar Microsoft Stores.
Why this matters: At the end of July, Google Chrome held over 50 percent of the worlds browser market share; Edge is at 5.09 percent, according to NetApplications. Microsoft clearly wants to lift that number. Locking down Cortana to use only Bing might be seen as the stick, but a rewards program like Microsoft Rewards is the carrot.

Obviously, still have more to learn.
Agreed. I trust MSFT even less than I trust Google, and I trust Google not at all.
Very useful as you can make your own scripts. For instance, this code (remove spaces btwn < and >) should paste as a paragraph in italics what is on the clipboard with the color of your choice < p >< font color="#800000" >< i >_clipboard_ < /i >< /p >
Likewise this ((remove spaces) will simply place selected text within paragraph tags: < p >_selection_ < /p >
But unlike Signatures, there is no import/export feature, however the scripts are found in the prefs.js of your profile (Alt key and h>Troubleshooting>Show folder). In addition to the useful Firefox extensions listed in my previous post, there is also one called Forum Tags, which you could edit to do html, though I have not taken the time to explore and use. Than God for such helps to do what is good in His sight.
Also useful are cynwoody's FR Grease Scripts: http://cynwoody.appspot.com/fr_posting_form_enhancer.html
Meh, I’m not going to use any of that crap anyway, bribe or no.
What do you recommend instead of Adobe Creative Suite and Acrobat?
I had an early Windows phone for work that was a disaster. Its was probably the best phone I’ve ever used. It was recently replaced with a ihpone that I absolutely hate. It is such an annoyance that I look for ways NOT to use it.
I actually asked the IT guy if I could go back to the Winphone. He just looked at me and said, “you too?”
The problem with Firefox/Mozilla is their rapid release — about every 6 weeks. Those releases break more extensions than fix issues.
Many extension authors have simply quit updating their extensions because they have more important things to do that update Firefox extensions every 6 weeks.

I have tried several Mozilla-Firefox based browsers. In some ways they are better, but they also suffer from the rapid release and broken extentions. I did discover that the 32-bit browsers seem to work better with extensions than the 64-bit browser versions do. Firefox, unless it has changed recently, is a 32-bit browser.
I finally had quit browser upgrades/updates just to keep the old extensions working. They are more useful than another rapid release irritant.
Thank God for what helps, and note that in Firefox at least, if you select a link address that is not "live" (hypertext) and right click, then you should see an option to open link in new tab.
To any script-programmers out there: Can you think of a way to automate this, or have a bot control Edge so it clicks its way through an unending list of links?
One has to wonder why it is so important for MS to grab market share for Edge. Assuming it’s not just management ego, it has to be for tracking and building a database of user preferences for marketing.
But of course, there is an extension to combat that as well. Disable Add-on Compatibility Checks :: Add-ons for Firefox
But of the extensions I use hardly any ever have that issue, except the superb FT DeepDark theme, which the developer usually updates quickly.
Saved for later. Thanks
I guess it depends how you use the phone. I’ve never been a big app user. Mostly I use it for calls, email, calendar, and a few other utilities which I can find good substitutes for in the Windows App store.
I was on the fence about the Lumia 950XL but a combination of discounts and a high trade-in on my old phone pushed me to it.
There are some apps I would like to have but the Edge browser in Windows 10 Mobile is nearly as good as the desktop version and I can enjoy websites fully using that.
I picked up the Band primarily because it was the only smartwatch that worked with Windows Phone. So for the notifications it is very useful.
The built in GPS does make it nice to track where I’ve been walking/running/biking though.
I switched to uBlock Origin from ADBlock Plus and I’m quite satisified. It seems faster to me.
Bravo, I have been using Linux since 2006, there are many flavors.
Linux is free.
Linux is free.

Please link to a site with a simple, thorough tutorial. I’ve been very disappointed with what I’ve found.
HostMan is great.
Besides blocking ads it also blocks many malware sites.
