Homeless shelters have become the latest battleground in the national debate over transgender rights.
The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is expected in September to finalize regulations that would allow people to stay in homeless shelters based on the gender they identify with.
The proposal has set off a firestorm, pitting LGBT groups against religious organizations that operate many homeless shelters.
“Transgender women are women regardless of whether they were born male,” said David Stacy, government affairs director at the Human Rights Campaign.
“If you’re a transgender woman and you walk into a homeless shelter and they treat you like a man, it’s traumatizing,” he added. “These people are already vulnerable, they’re homeless, they don’t have a job. To face discrimination the entire time they’re there is a real problem.”

A biological man, Christopher Hambrook, claimed to be ‘transgender’ in order to prey on women at two Toronto shelters. He was recently jailed “indefinitely” after a judge declared him to be a “dangerous offender.”

And the traumatized women in the women’s shelter are terrified the mentally ill man in the dress is really a rapist, or a voyeur or maybe even their partner dressing/identifying as a woman to access them.
Homeless women are already suffering rape rates that ARE in the 1/4 statistical incidence level.
That’s why women’s shelters are separate from general homeless shelters with mostly men.
David, why are you such a science denier? The biology is SETTLED. There is no such thing as transgender "women" who were born male. They are still male no matter how they want to dress, nor no matter how they might mutilate themselves. DNA/Chromosomes don't lie. Mentally confused and delusional activists do lie.

The inmates are running the asylum. And, as a ACTUAL woman, born that way, a man is NOT a woman. The fact that we now have to say this tells us where our culture is at the moment. Sewer.
