Troglodytes of the world unite; you have nothing to lose but your chains.

And credit card bills, and student loans and car payments, mortgage payments...

When I was a kid in Panama City, in the early 1950s, there was a hermit who lived in a shack he made from driftwood. The story was that he was shipwrecked but probably not true. I have no idea how he survived.

There used to be a man living in the wilds of Idaho back about forty five years go. Even made his own rifles and powder.

I believe there was a book written about him, can’t recall his name.

Caveman with a rifle?
Not even close. Maybe a pioneer, because pioneers survived with a rifle and had advanced hunting skills. This is no more a caveman than a computer programmer.

Richard Louis “Dick” Proenneke (May 4, 1916 – April 20, 2003).

He lived in a cabin though and got mail and stuff.

And he had a pet magpie. Didn’t start living in the wild until he was 51.

It’s his own business. Regulatory decapture is the way for us to go. Let others live as they want to live, or reap the default repudiation consequences (broad, sweeping government layoffs).

He may be a troglodyte, but at his age the Butt sisters would kill him.
