An Orlando man was charged with possession of crystal meth with a gun, but a state crime lab proved him right it was actually glaze from Krispy Kreme doughnuts.
When the man stopped by the 7-Eleven without buying anything and left with an employee in his car, cops were suspicious.
Orlando police were staking out the convenience store, 938 W. Colonial Dr., after neighbors complained of drug activity, the Orlando Sentinel reported. Police saw the man in the silver Chevy leave without stopping at the stop sign and speed off going 42 miles per hour in a 30 mph zone, according to the report. They pulled him over.
The officer saw his concealed weapon license, asked to hold onto his gun for safety and had the driver get out of the car. Thats when the veteran officer saw four flakes of a white substance on the floor.
"I recognized through my 11 years of training and experience as a law enforcement officer the substance to be some sort of narcotic," the officer wrote in her report.

Pulled over because he thought they just left the store with the very last crispy meth remains? “I’ll have to confiscate that bag you got there son.”
Now the secret ingredient comes to light?
lol. What happens if you fill a pipe with these crumbs and smoke it?
I would file so many lawsuits it would make their heads spin.
False arrest and imprisonment, for starters.
I’ve heard some people say Florida is a police state. Now I’m starting to wonder if it’s true.
**Book him with intent to distribute a fattening product**
In Moochelle’s Amerika.
You’d get a mouth full of fire, I’d guess, what with the high energy content of the sugar and fat.
Someone needs to come up with a way of vaping donuts.
Gross incompetence.
Police so jealous of their calories.
**the local donut shop must have obviously been closed**
I dunno, the Krispy Kreme establishments in my town are all open at 1pm.
Is “certification” even needed? It would be a good subject of investigation to find out if there is other hocus pocus going on.
Are Krispy Kreme doughnuts still legal?
The cop might have simply lied. But it is more likely that the little drug test kit was crap. I’ve seen articles that say they are simply no good.
Did he get his gun back?
They are here in the South, home of illiterate white men who love God and guns.
If the failure isn’t even reproducible, after the state crime lab’s own results... then they should kick that cop out, at a minimum.
from the article ... “The driver let her search the car, and she found more chunks, which two roadside tests showed were crystal methamphetamine. “

He has hired a lawyer and I hope he sues the dogsh*t out of the test manufacturer or if the cop was simply lying and sugar does not test as meth the cop and everyone in her chain of command... his life is ruined ,, arrested , jailed and so on ... every job application will be automatically rejected... he will have trouble with visas and traveling... the embarrassment ... sue them sue them sue them...

I’ve been here since the late 60’s ,, it is...
I was standing on the sidewalk on THE USC campus talking with a USC police officer one day. Several Columbia PD cars went by with light and sirens going.
The USC officer said to me, “I wonder what the city has going on?”
I replied, “The Hot Doughnuts Now sign just came on at Krispy Kreme.” The USC officer was not amused.
