@marklevinshow If Cruz doesn't endorse Trump tonight, I will never vote for him even for dog catcher. He signed Pledge. Word is your bond!

Nor, I’d guess, had Reagan ***pledged*** to endorse Ford.

I’m sorry, but Reagan absolutely endorsed Ford in 76, and campaigned for him.

I have no earthly idea where Levin came up with this. Pretty poor memory, though.

Maybe Levin has some sort of mealy-mouthed way of saying that this is not an endorsement:

Interesting. One of my earliest political memories was Reagan taking to the podium at the 1968 GOP convention after it nominated Nixon (recall Reagan was a late entry in the race) calling on the delegates to make the vote unanimous. I remember thinking he looked and sounded very impressive.

I had Levin on yesterday evening because it was the only AM live feed of the Convention that I could find. He whined about Trump incessantly and completely mischaracterized Trump's positions (particularly on trade where he contends that Trump is somehow against international commerce because he thinks certain “free trade” agreements have been detrimental to US workers...). Further, Levin groused that he is tired of people telling him it is an either-or choice between Hillary and Trump, yet he offered ZERO explanation as to why it would make any sense to refuse to support Trump over Hillary. This is what happens when hosts get too full of themselves. Plus the guy screams the entire time. He's just unlistenable.

Levin has found solace living in the past. He has relived events around the 1976 convention over and over and over, as if reliving it again will make it happen again.

Shut up levin.

I used to hold you in high regard. But then Ted Cruz came on the scene, and for this low life you changed. levin is almost as bad as Beck.

OTOH, maybe this is the way ML has always been and I’ve been fooled all these years.

Cruz lost; you bet on the wrong horse. Get over it.

I fully expect Cruz to heartily support Trump tonight and through this election.

He simply can't not do that and retain any credibility.

Congratulations, Donald Trump!! We have a candidate!! Make America great again!! Just a few months left now until our current long national nightmare is over!! Woo hoo!! January 20, 2017 can’t get here soon enough. Go, Trump!!

And it’s now more important than ever that we keep our internet communications channel well funded and in fighting trim!!

FR is funded solely by contributions made by the liberty loving patriots who love and use it.

We are beholden to no political party.

No advertisers, no outsiders, no sugar daddies, no corporate string pullers.

No commercial ads. No annoying pop-ups. No ad tracking. No mail campaigns. No spam.

Definitely no government subsidies or tax breaks.

We are self-funded, fiercely independent and enjoy our freedom to speak plainly in the support of God, family, country, liberty!!

But we cannot exist without you.

Every donation counts no matter how big or small. If you can donate $5, $10, $20, $100 or more, it would be greatly appreciated.

Your loyal support makes Free Republic possible and your continuing participation makes FR the number one pro-life, pro-family, pro-small government, pro-defense conservative forum on the Net!!

And we’re going to need FR now more than ever to combat the current crop of Marxists and progressives who have infested our government and public institutions and who are dead set on destroying the final remnants of our cherished constitution and our precious God-given liberty!!

Please click the secure server link above or donate by mail to: Free Republic - PO Box 9771 - Fresno, CA 93794

Make it a monthly if you can. We have some very generous FReeper sponsors kicking in an extra ten bucks for every new monthly signed up. And we have 9 new monthlies so far this quarter.

Or send in a hundred dollars or more per quarter and join I_be_tc’s growing list of 300 Club patriots. I_be_tc sends in $100 per quarter and challenges 300 others to do the same. If we could get 300 FReepers to send in $100 per quarter, these FReepathons would complete much faster. And we now have 65 donations this quarter of $100 or more!!

Send in 25 and help keep freedom alive!!

Thank you all very much!!

God bless.

For purposes of clarity and comparison to whatever remarks Sen. Cruz makes tonight, here is a link to Ronald Reagan’s remarks at the 1976 Republican convention:

Many seem to lack the ability to read things, and I am shocked that Levin is one.

Let me ask you all a question, “Do you thunk Trump is stupid?”

No you don’t think he is, and neither do I.

Ted Cruz said it loudly that he would endorse Trump when he made the deal with trump to speak in the prime spot on Wednesday night.

Trump would never have agreed to allow Ted a prime time speaking spot if he did not promise to endorse him.

Unless, as I asked, do you think Trump is so stupid he would allow Cruz to destroy the convention by not endorsing him?

Trump is a genius at understanding people, not that I like him, but I will support and vote for him.

So, by hm being allowed the 2nd most prime spot at the convention means he will endorse Trump.

Ford won the nomination, of course, then lost to Jimmy Carter. Four years later, Reagan won the nomination, won the general election in a landslide, and the rest is history.

And over a million people have died because Jimmy Carter was President, and before the consequences of his bungling finally exhaust themselves, I expect the Jimmy Carter death toll may reach into the hundreds of millions.

Carter represents the Stupidest man to ever sit in the office prior to Barack Obama, who now holds that record.

Both Levin and Cruz will endorse Mr. Trump. There is NFW either will take any steps that help The Beast. There’s a long way to go in this election cycle and both are trying to push Mr. Trump away from Bernie supporters and closer to grass roots conservatives.
