The biggest black mark on the ‘Boomers is the snowflake generation that they somehow produced.

The snowflakes are at least 2 generations removed from the baby boomers so they would have been their grandkids.

I wasn’t talking about your daughter. Go pick a fight with someone else.

Close enough. It’s still a mystery to me why the snowflakes suddenly appeared.

“It’s still a mystery to me why the snowflakes suddenly appeared.”

A good question and for myself the answer lies in so many of them going to College and the Universities to ‘earn’ a diploma that gives them a magical leg-up over everyone else. The indoctrination that goes on at those institutions is quite comparable to the reeducation camps of the communist countries in that ‘groupthink’ is much more powerful and corrosive that individual reflective thinking.

I’m in my mid-40s, and a lot of the older people I started working with have retired or died. I miss working with people that show up on time, don’t wear pajamas to work, or spend all their time on their smartphones...Heck, here in NJ I miss working with people that can write a coherent email in English...

the funny part is that the boomers were and are full of themselves and loud about it, but you sir, the Silent generation, did a lot more and you’re too quiet about it. We should celebrate more what you all achieved

It’s got to be something along that line in order for the snowflake phenomenon to be so widespread. I wonder if the seeds aren’t being planted earlier when they are kids. Maybe a combination of school and messages they are getting from some of the entertainment directed at them.

“AWESOME! Now I’m a zombie.”

Gee, guess I’m a zombie too. I thought it was only that feeling between waking up & getting that first cup of coffee down. So...boomers are still the pig in the python...must mean we’re not dying off fast enough.

Anyway, this article is about generational warfare in the EU. I believe in American exceptionalism and have faith. I’m OK with Millenials, unless we’re at the University of Missouri.

That could very well be, I found that the ‘kids’ and ‘teens’ shows on channels like Disney were very corrosive in that they nearly always played the kids as ‘cool’ and so-much-smarter than all of the adults on the show. The dad’s were nearly always ‘idiots’ and ‘dolts’ with the Moms and other adult figures being marginally smarter and cooler than the dada.

To quote a recent article in THE NEW YORKER, many of these kids have mental health issues. They probably had them even before they entered college. Unfortunately this type will gravitate to left-wing ideology like moths to a flame.
