Beautiful little cat.
I have a weakness for kittens, I really do.
When I win the lottery, I am going full on crazy cat lady, immediately.
kitty ping
Excellent.
It’s an adorable kitten and good that they adopted it.
So darn cute! Love happy endings.
The cat is a con artist. All of my cats sharpen their claws on my tires. (It does not hurt the tires.)
That is one dapper kitten. I recall a cat that was a lumber yard cat it was there for about 8 years lots of fun the one guy that was the biggest hard ass well one morning i go in and he is sitting on the floor balling his eyes out holding the cat that had passed after it was hit by a car Thanks for a good and bad memory
They're all con artists.
Poor animals suffer so but I have adored kittens since I was a little girl. I finally had to start spaying and neutering because it was too hard to find good homes for them where you didn't feel confident they wouldn't be abused.
One year I had 17, a mama and babies got drywalled in while I was off helping with my aunt. Luckily one of my kids or the workman heard them and let them out.
Then I realized what I was turning into, those ladies you read about on the news. So I got down it down to two. Then one, and a stray came along, I adopted him. He's all I have inside now but for years the neighbor's cat prefers to eat on my porch.
It's a very strange and pretty black male cat, quite old now. He will wait until I bring the food out. I worry about him in winter but he has good susrival skills and I think they let him in.
I don't know why he likes it better on my porch. I do buy good quality dry food. What the cat doesn't eat, I saw a young coon finishing it off the other night. It scurried away when I got out of the car and headed for the porch. I had the light on and everything. The night before was a new cat from somewhere.
But I miss my years of so many adorable kittens.
Goodness will always win.
The darkness cannot stand the light.
I dunno damn cute and there is still more good in this world than otherwise.
Must be friday talk to me on monday. LOL
I just rescued #4 for us. We are done.
Reminds me of what happened a few decades ago. After work downtown, I drove my car to pick up my wife at her job, then we drove home some 15 miles away. As we got out of the car, she says she hears mewing sounds from the engine. I lifted the hood, and saw a kitten nestled in the engine bay inches from the radiator fan blades. Yikes! Lucky kitten. We fed it and cared for it overnight. Next day, I drove to the parking lot and released it. The kitten kept coming back and jumping into the engine bay. I finally dropped it out the door and quickly drove away, as it chased after my car. And I stopped parking at that particular lot! We had a dog at the time and couldn’t take in the kitten. Years later, we now have a cat and appreciate having it be our friend.
I often scatter a bit of cat food on the porch for the raccoon that comes to dine, while cat sits inside the glass door to watch. Cat and coon observe one another with much interest, sniffing and smooching thru the glass.
For me, it’s better than TV.
This is a common tactic of stray kitties. I found my sweet Emily this way as she darted under our car as we were driving into the apartment. We quickly stopped and jumped out afraid she had been hit. She came peeking out from behind a tire and came right to me as if to say, “I’m yours!”. She was almost 12 weeks old, full of fleas, ear mite and worms. I took her to the vets the next day and got them all taken care of and she was with me for fifteen years. I loved her so much and she brought so much joy and love into my life.
Raccoons are ... such fun. BG (Bandit Girl_ came around three or four years ago in June, four hours before sunset, half starved, obviously nursing babies. I fed her daily thereafter. She rings ‘the door bell’ I put on the backdoor handle (a chocolates can tied to a shoe lace, hanging from the handle on the inside). First week in July she brought the whole litter (5 curious kits) and of course I named them all. Of that litter, only Buster continues to visit. He is full grown now and when he comes tot he backdoor he stands on his back legs and can look right in the nine-pane half glass door! When he was little, he would climb into my lap for an oatmeal cookie. He’s too big for that now, but he does take cookies from my hand, and always touches his nose to my hand ... I guess as a greeting.
Anyway, BG had another litter the next year and brought that gang to the back deck for feeding and frolick. One of that bunch, Mischief, now has a litter I have yet to see, but she comes every afternoon and rings the bell for her food and water. She takes cookies from the hand also, and does that nose touch to the hand with the cookie. I suppose she will bring the gang when they start following her out from the nest, wherever that is. Her brother, Rascal, usually appears an hour or so after she has fed. He is more insistent for the cookies.
Adorable little kitty. Love cats..so glad it found a good home.
Cats always know *exactly* what they’re doing.
‘Mr.and Mrs. JustAnotherGoodGuy’ are now OWNED; and will have many happy years with Axel.
Great Story!
