Democrats sweat next convention blowup

In the wake of a recent Nevada state party convention that descended into chaos, Democrats are sweating out a similar event in Wyoming on Saturday. When Democrats meet in Cheyenne to select delegates to the July national convention, the same elements that created such a volatile mix in Nevada will be present: anger and frustration over Bernie Sanders’ delegate haul, superdelegates who backed Hillary Clinton before the state caucuses took place, and threats to state party officials. Story Continued Below

At a gathering of state Democratic chairmen in Philadelphia last week, Wyoming was identified as one of the upcoming states that is most likely to have a disruptive convention. "There was obviously a discussion amongst [state Democratic executive directors] and amongst party chairs about the upcoming states with conventions, particularly those that have the delegate selection parts, and the feeling that there would be a couple of flash points coming up," said a state Democratic party executive director who attended the meeting. "Wyoming is one that was thrown into the mix." In Philadelphia, Democrats came up with a set of guidelines that would commit the Democratic National Committee and the Clinton and Sanders campaigns to maintaining an active presence at the remaining events in the interest of avoiding the kind of rancor that marked the Nevada debacle.

it would be hilarious if Bernie picked Larry King for his VP. Then we would absolutely have Statler and Waldorf from the Muppets running. Trump would have a field day!

Only one way for the Democrat Party to avoid implosion...get rid of Hillary Clinton right now!!! End of story!!! If they’re too dumb to see and realize it, there will be little left of the Democrat Party after November 8th!! Obama...in love with only himself, and his fixation with, destroying the American Republic...has in fact laid the seeds of the politcal destruction of the Democrat Party. Mitt Romney & Ted Cruz have finished of the GOP Establishment already!!! LMAO!!!

The danger is that Denver isn’t far away. And looneyville Boulder is even closer. Plenty of terriorists to show up.

I never did get to appreciate how the Dems totally set the country on fire in 1968, having only been 7, but it looks like things have come full circle. The rioting and cities burning (summer unofficially starts this weekend, it IS coming, count on it) can only help them and their miserable policies get massively rejected nationwide.

Burn baby, burn!

I just read a great book about Pat Buchanan called “The Crusader...”. There’s a story I loved (many, actually).

During the 1968 convention, Pat was up in a hotel room overlooking the street where the cops were teeing off on the leftist rabble, pulling no punches. Also in the hotel room were others, including press personnel, and lefty Normal Mailer. Mailer is looking out the window almost in tears saying “Look at those cops beat those poor protestors! This is horrible police brutality!”

At the same time, Pat had his head out the window and was pointing at a rioter who was trying to get away, and yelling to the police, “Hey, there’s one you missed over there!”

Norman Mailer was known for his violent nature, so one more example of liberal hypocrisy.

You’re right about Mailer. A-1 jerk. I remember when he got this career criminal/killer paroled and promised to give the guy a job because he could write. Sure enough, the guy (Jack Abbott) killed again within weeks of his parole.
