How government and unions will keep you on welfare.

I had a neighbor who was a carpenter, until work dried up. Started as a shampoo assistant worked his way up to owner!

And oh my!Some interesting 'events'.
Apparently some women would do a very personal check, to see if he was gay! He is not.

1500 hours of instruction in an 8-week course? That’s difficult, since there are only 1344 hours in 8 weeks.

Yet another example of how the government takes a right that was yours and sells it back to you in the form of a permit, license, training, whatever.

I worked at a public employee union that represented a lot of community colleges. They lobbied for mandatory education for all sorts of occupations because it kept the college’s in business and got more dues paying members.
as icing on the cake, it also requires more union members working in the licensing and enforcement divisions in the State.

There are MANY regulations in place that people would never suspect exist that almost guarantee that small businesses are not viable to compete with large corporations. For example children’s clothing has many regulations that require registration, tagging, tracking, testing for lead, etc.

This happens in every state. The government is just responding to lobbying from the hairdressing profession which is trying to limit competition. It’s probably true that it would be much harder for them to make a living if anyone could get a license to cut hair. Similar things happen with lots of other industries.

Another of the thousands of facets of the regime of competing through local government with regulations. Our whole country has gone commie.

The NIMBY establishment is also outlawing camping on large, remote, private properties. That's right. More owners of large lots every month are finding that it is illegal to camp on their own properties, even with no neighbors in sight. The move is spreading quickly through counties across the USA.

bought this property (Colorado, see third comment)

Regulated out of Existence: Off-Gridders Forced back on the Grid, Camping on own land Illegal

Check on local regulations before you buy land that is advertised as good for "camping." Many of those ads are fraudulent.

I always wanted to teach cosmetology, since that way I could give lots of make-up exams.

It’s the same in Arkansas. To be a “cosmetologist” you have to be licensed, and the license regime requires 1500 hours. You can be an aesthetician (makeup, waxing, etc) with only 600 hours of training.

It’s about the spread of diseases.

Just think of all those illegal aliens doing these services at half price but knowing nothing about cleaning their working tools.
