Sorry for the vanity, but this is getting tiresome to me. The same few posters find any drivel to support Lyin' Ted or any screed to jab Mr. Trump. We all know who they are. What if nobody responds to their attempts to incite? Maybe the threads die out sooner and some of the invectives against one another lessen.
I know that I have been purposely avoiding even reading articles posted by the select few. I have found my blood pressure to be much better once I started ignoring the falling trees.
Since Jim has started giving pro-Cruz spammers forum vacations, I’ve noticed that the few Cruzbots left have really toned down. Oh, they still snipe and so forth, but they are much less nasty about it.
The really nasty ones, you can always include Jim Robinson in your reply to them, and he might give them a forum vacation.
It is nice to discuss the specifics of what we expect from Trump, instead of having to deal with Cruzbots claiming Trump is an anti-semitic woman-hating progressive.
Any thoughts?
yeah...personally, I’m all in for Trump, but if you want to ‘lessen the invective’, a good start would be to drop ‘Lyin Ted’ and call him ‘Mr. Cruz’...

How about we start to build a few bridges and welcome Cruz supporters back into the fold? The campaign is not over and it's not time for premature exaltation. Pretty obvious - but not guaranteed - that Trump will be the candidate. So let's show a little magnanimity. Especially for fellow Freepers, some of whom have a lot of emotional investment in Cruz.
They are just sad and pathetic at this point. Almost like they know it’s pointless, but they still think they are more virtuous and pure than everyone else, and they get off on posting articles that border on being delusional North Korea level propaganda.
Just look at the recent photo of a Cruz rally where only a tiny group showed up, and that’s what I picture these people as.
I'm with you. Trump wasn't my first choice, but if he gets the nomination then I'm in.
Besides, does anyone take these flame wars at FR seriously anyway? I've found myself exchanging flames with Freepers on some posts while agreeing with them on others.

Ted Cruz, go back to the Senate and finish the job you were elected to do by the people of Texas.
I've tried not to attack other Freepers and restrict my comments to candidates. I've responded harshly to those who personally attacked me, but I hold no grudge with anyone who operated from a position of pure focus on candidates.
I hope they all come around so we can STOMP THE LEFT INTO THE GROUND together and celebrate come November.
Yes - why don’t you and everyone else post positives about your candidates instead of lobbying childish invectives like ‘Lyin Ted’ or ‘little Marco’? When will you start carrying on adult conversations? Or would you like to stay on a 4th grade level, and restrict it to your ‘like minded friends’?
There was meant to be an end to it by decree here. But I guess not everyone got the message. After Indiana it should drop off further. And I’d expect it to completely cease once Trump hits the magic number.

Dang right they do. Some 20 year Freeper veterans have Opused out and that's just sad. We're on a justifiable high now but *anything* can happen, in politics. Alienating potential allies never a good idea - in any kind of endeavour.
Yeah attack Hillary (or whomever gets the nomination if she is indicted ). We will need Cruz in the Senate. The democrats know that rule and never attack each other. Don’t poison the well.
I agree. Don’t shut out Freepers. It doesn’t bother me that they voice an opinion that I once held up to 2 months ago. Besides, I’ve put my foot in my mouth many times by failure to read an article before commenting or misunderstanding amother comment. Fellow Freepers always forgave.

It’s not “shutting down cruz supporters”. It’s trying to maintain an effective website. Some of the cruzers have basically become nothing but trolls and spammers.
