“This thread was about the only thing kept me sane and coming back to FR.”

When I started putting up the nightly caucus discussion thread, I had no idea how popular it would become. I was only trying to create a place where folks could comment about the caucus, as the rules prevented discussion on the thread itself.

Seeing how the presidential race is still in full swing, I see no reason why we can’t continue to have some sort of daily wrap-up thread to discuss the day’s events.

Who says he supports a GOP candidate?

(ducking and running)

lol!

I support LonelyBull in his support for whichever candidate he chooses. He deserves it after his contribution to FR via the caucus discussion threads.

I agree.

Unfortunately, there are many people who agree with left-wing collectivism, with the nanny state, with so-called identity politics. These people are vocal, but I do not for a second believe that they are a majority of the country.

“This election cycle has been much more contentious than others I can remember. I believe that the caucus gave clarity into the mechanics of what was going on and actually helped keep the peace.”

During the first month or so of the caucus, I had one particular Freeper continue to badger me about the relative levels of Freeper support between Cruz and Trump.

She kept on and on about how she’d counted thousands of pro and con posts, making it sound as though she’d done a scientific study that proved beyond a shadow of doubt that FR was Cruz country.

I simply kept pointing her to the results of the daily caucus, which documented the opposite result. After a full one hundred days, I don’t think there’s anything left to prove. The results here, are a mirror of what’s going on in the minds and hearts of the American people.

Senator Cruz has waged a tough battle, but the people want Trump this go ‘round.

The one thing that stands out loud and clear to me is that Hillary Clinton is an empty pantsuit.

She is as dead in the water as Lyndon Johnson, the incumbent Democrat president, was in 1968.

Johnson won New Hampshire by six percent and it was considered handwriting on the wall by the liberal media herd of that era shoveling the coal of anti-Vietnam War fervor.

Johnson knew he was in trouble and threw in the towel a month or two later.

Hillary barely wins Iowa, then loses New Hampshire by 20 points, goes on to win in many states and lose others, buoyed by a sychophantic liberal media.

She is deeply disliked by well over 40 percent of Democrats and she was lucky to have had some of them desert Democrat primaries to vote for Trump in the GOP primaries.

First, a BIG THANKS to everyone involved in collecting, counting, collating, charting, and posting the results each day. I have been fascinated both by the discussion thread and seeing the results each day.

Next, this caucus is what made up my mind to stick around FR when I was close to giving up on it. Why? Well, when I finally switched from Trump/Cruz to just Trump, it seemed like every thread was loaded with nastiness and vitriol towards Trump. I remember going into the Trump threads and there were insults every other post, but when I went into some of the Cruz threads they were claimed to be “victory threads” or some such and Trump posters were not welcome.

Then one night I stumbled across the Caucus. Even back then, it was 80-20 Trump-Cruz. And I realized that not only were there a fair amount of like-minded people here, but a majority of them. So I decided to stick around and after a while started voting in the Caucus myself.

As old as I am, this is my first primary vote ever and although I paid some attention to the primary the last 2 cycles, this is the most I have ever been involved by far. Actually, after this one I hope never to be involved again LOL.

So thanks for the Caucus!

Thanks to all for your work on these threads. I voted on the last caucus a couple of hours ago, and it’s been a lot of fun.
