Rich Haydon, superintendent at San Onofre State Beach, said Tuesday that officials are deciding whether to attempt towing the carcass by boat out to sea or chop it up and load the pieces onto trucks for removal

I dunno. But I do know if I ever come across a dead whale and somebody is hacking away at it to stand WAY back, and have my video out!

Jar Heads and a dead whale. What could go wrong? I'll bet we could drop a quarter-ton blob of whale goo squarely on the roof of the news van a quarter mile away on the shoulder of I-5 with one exquisitely-tailored demo shot.

Love that show.
The other night they showed a rerun about binary explosives. They wondered if a car crash would set them off. For the over the top finale they put a pickup truck on a rail and launched into the back of a car at over 300 miles per hour. (The car had binary explosives in the trunk.) For the control, they blew up a car, just so they could compare and contrast.
Anyway, both of the vehicles disintegrated, but there was no explosion. I laughed so hard I almost wet myself.

Are you kidding? The hydrogen sulfide and methane will no doubt cause a spectacular display of flying whale blubber.
