Accidently steps on the accelerator
A British groom crashed a rented Ferrari into his friends home in Lancashire on his wedding day.
Riding with his bride, the man crashed the $342,000 Ferrari 458 Spider after his foot slipped onto the accelerator, reported The Daily Mail.
He now faces an insurance cost of $28,000.
Neither of them were hurt in the incident, however.
From the movie Parenthood.....
Steve Martin: “Go ahead, honey. Show him how it happened.”
Poor guy. I was coming back from a gym workout that left my legs wobbly. As I backed into my driveway, I got on the accelerator instead of the brake and wiped out my screened porch. I hate when that happens.
Performance cars have become so insanely powered that I would be reluctant to drive one unless I was on a road course. I don’t know the specific hp of that model but some of the 12s push 600hp. Not the sort of thing for a wannabe gangsta on those narrow British roads.
He’s gonna hear about this for the duration of his entire marriage.
Geez. Happens to me all the time.... :-)
Neither of them WAS hurt!
You are very correct.
Most folks are overmatched with 200 hp let alone what is widely available now.
Love the video narration.
He wasn’t hurt. However he will require a total cashectomy.
Hey, it was an embankment, not a wall.
Where do chavs get the money to rent a Ferrari on their wedding day?
Besides the financial “ouch”, imagine the embarrassment! ‘Specially for a kid who looks like a thug-wannabe.
“Love the video narration.”
Sounds like a Fembot with a loose chip.
I’ve been driving small cars for so long, that if I purchased something I really like, like a Dodge Charger, I would be driving really carefully for a while.
Yes, he's probably not going to hear about it from his wife for very long.
I’d rather rent the Morgan +8. And not just because it’s only half as much.
I was going to say, what an amazing coincidence. I crashed my Silver Shadow while going to the 7/11 for a pack of smokes...
