Verbal confrontation turned physical when 12-year-old stabbed boy
Richland County deputies are investigating an incident where a 12-year-old girl allegedly stabbed a 16-year-old boy during an altercation Thursday night.
The Richland County Sheriffs Department received a report of an aggravated assault around 8:30 p.m. Thursday and responded to the 700 block of Ross Road near Legrand Road, according to Lt. Curtis Wilson with the department.
Deputies believe a 12-year-old girl and the 16-year-old boy were initially involved in a verbal confrontation that became physical when the 12-year-old stabbed the other in the upper body.
The 16-year-old was transported to Palmetto Health Richland for injuries that were not life-threatening.
Deputies continue to investigate this the incident and circumstances surrounding the altercation.
All over running out of chicken McNuggets at McDonalds.
What did the boy say? Did he say “You sure do look Precious!” FYI: “Precious” was a movie name for a 400lb black girl.

Well what do you expect when the reckless, greedy, knife manufacturers are allowed to sell their dangerous death dealing wares to helpless children with no background check?
I don’t even need to see the names to figure that out... Columbia, savage violence by young children, the race of those involved is obvious with 99.9% confidence.
I’m a veteran urban public high school teacher, and I’ll say this. A male student gets angry, and you’ve got a problem. A female student gets angry, and you’ve got a problem squared.
The worst hallway fights I’ve seen were always between two girls (problems to the fourth power).
You a math teacher? :)

no wait, that’s not it...
My son is a freshman at a public high school. He has seen two fights, both between girls, this year. To the school’s credit, they were broken up within a minute by teachers. Some people just want to be transferred to continuation school or expelled, I guess. I’m sorry this happened, but I guess he needs to see what some people are really like, especially since he has been considering going into law enforcement.

I never thought of South Carolina as being a violent state, but with the church shooting last year and now this, it is apparent that a segment of the population is prone to violence.
Don’t suppose it was more than “verbal”, and the precocious pre-teen was just defending herself...?
And in all seriousness, that's one advantage of going to a public school. You gain valuable experience - daily experience - dealing with all sorts of people.
I also taught for a few years at a private school. Great kids there, but I was amazed at how little they knew about people outside of their own group.
Of course, there are also advantages of going to a private school. I'll leave that for another thread.
That’s Columbia alright. When Hell is full, Satan sends people to Columbia to get them used to the temps

Oh, to be a free market again, where SERVICES are paid by the USER(s).
Crap like this would be a one-hit-wonder (no pun intended) as those that disrupt the education of regularly paying students would be out on their @SS to find another willing servicer; otherwise, it starts effecting the bottom-line as the students go elsewhere.
Damn pipe-dream, I know.
Yes, for part of my career. Then I moved on to science. I was initially going to make an argument based on spontaneous reaction rates, but I decided to go with the exponent thing instead. :)
Have you ever either seen or held an 8” chef’s knife. The frightful things are sold everywhere without any background checks.
Problem solved, by posting "No chef's knives zone" signs. /s
