The U.N.s scientific panel on climate change will write a special report on how to limit global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius (2.7 degrees Fahrenheit) compared with pre-industrial times.
The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change agreed Thursday to explore the issue after a request by world governments in Paris last December.
Many scientists say it will be virtually impossible to keep warming below that level without removing vast quantities of heat-trapping greenhouse gases from the atmosphere.

First step: Build more nuclear plants.
Can I order up 75 degree weather for the next week while they are at it?
Maybe they can put a dimmer switch on the sun.
With the 900 billion dollar stimulus, and the QE, at least 50 Nuclear plants would be online or on the way today.
I have questions about the temperatures during pre-industrial times. Were the thermometers used at that time calibrated? Are those thermometers available for inspection? What is the margin of error?
I wonder what the people who put a price tag on building a Death Star would have to say about something like this?
This isn’t a scientific report; it’s an economic extortion study.
They’ve already made huge demands on the so-called developed countries to waste money and transfer funds to the less developed countries in their “2 degree” plan.
This is just upping the ante by cranking the model to a tighter level.
Uh, hey u.n. STFU.
Set the number then then break it by fiddling with the climate models
[[ Many scientists say it will be virtually impossible to keep warming below that level without removing vast quantities of heat-trapping greenhouse gases from the atmosphere]]
Yes! We must reduce the atmosphere’s anthropogenic contribution of CO2 from 0.00136% of the atmosphere down to oh- I dunno- maybe 0.00134% By crippling hte world and hamstringing busiensses and raising prices-
Quick- We must act now to get it down to 0.00134%
Psssst- scientists- where is this big thick blanket of O2 that is trapping all htis heat you claim it is? 0.00136% of the atmosphere is NOT enough to create a globe stretching blanket thick enough to trap heat- period-
Psssst Scientists- how come temperatures always rise first- 800 years BEFORE cO2 rises IF CO2 is the cause of warming? Since CO2 doesn’t rise until 800 years later- AFTER temperatures have already risen- how i n the world is CO2 causing the temps to rise again? Inquiring minds need to know before you proceed with this disgusting scam!
Human sacrifice might work as well. I have a little list of candidates.
[[This isnt a scientific report; its an economic extortion study.]]
Exactly- ‘man-caused climate change’ is the golden goose scam that will just keep on giving and giving and giving- it will Never end- their excuse for not ending the scam, and continuing ot extort money from us will be “We’ve made such greater progress, (After the climate NAturally cools on it’s own- which is what these freakin liars are gambling on), that we can’t stop now folks- You wouldn’t want to go back to the crises we faced back in the 2000’s would you?”
We will Never see an end to this scam if it’s allowed to happen- and it is- they are going ahead with this full steam despite NOT begin able to prove or show that only 0.00136% of the atmosphere is capable of capturing and holding enough heat to cause global climate change
just tell NASA’s GISS to tweak the past temperature data AGAIN...problem solved.
Nuculur is bad. No Nuculur.
Excellent point.
And how accurate are the current methods and are they reliable and accurate? And how accurate the measurement techniques have to be?
I wonder about how accurate the data is and where it came from that they are basing their doom and gloom predictions on. Garbage in, garbage out.
Global Warming on Free Republic here, here and here
Call me cynical, but I'll take a WAG at the conclusions:
1. A global tax on industrialized nations, especially the United States.2. Large grants and lifetime stipends for the study authors.
