There are three states that I know of that have sore-loser laws that would keep him off their ballots, Texas being one of them.

That would be a major hurdle.

If Trump runs on a party’s ballot that already has 50 state access, there is no law to stop him. There are several such parties.

Sore-loser laws? Was that created after Sore-Loserman?

I don't understand how any state can do that because you can vote for anyone you choose, all you have to do is write in the name.

How could that (sore loser laws) be constitutional?

There are three states that I know of that have sore-loser laws that would keep him off their ballots...

And how do they work when the guy with the most states, most delegates, and most votes is replaced by someone who never ran in a single primary?

Has it ever been challenged if it’s really a sore loser law? I mean everything goes in politics, but the courts do frown upon disenfranchisement.

what hurdle? come om man.

I’m voting for him in NY, but let’s call it what it is, certain victory for what’s looking more and more like Bernie.

it is what it is. vote your conscience. but don’t deceive yourself about the outcome.

"There are three states that I know of that have sore-loser laws that would keep him off their ballots, Texas being one of them."

Don’t these sore-loser states understand that the constitutionally undefined presidential nomination conventions blatantly ignore the Constitution’s process for “nominating” a president?

”Article II, Section 1, Clause 2: Each State shall appoint, in such Manner as the Legislature thereof may direct, a Number of Electors, equal to the whole Number of Senators and Representatives to which the State may be entitled in the Congress: but no Senator or Representative, or Person holding an Office of Trust or Profit under the United States, shall be appointed an Elector.

12th Amendment: The Electors shall meet in their respective states, and vote by ballot for President and Vice-President, one of whom, at least, shall not be an inhabitant of the same state with themselves; ..."

That is exactly why he can’t do it.

Sore loser laws in Federal elections are Unconstitutional per US Constitution which has supremacy on who can run in elections for federal offices.

Not only that but many states have early filing dates for third parties that has already passed. The Uniparty *never* wants to see a third party candidate win so they’ve stacked the deck in many states. Trump would have had to file as third party candidate by January or so.

If he does it now, it will simply be to screw the GOP because he has no chance to actually win as a third party. None. Nada. Isn’t going to happen.

Then we'll run Sarah Palin. I damn well know right now I won't be voting for the GOP candidate. If I don't have a candidate to vote for, I'll not even show up at the polls, down ticket candidates be damned.
