Since this news story made the sidebar here on FR, I decided to provide some context to the remarks that have garnered so much interest.
I just view my DVR tape of the Jimmy Kimmel Show last night. Just prior to Senator Cruz coming on was a segment on cool April Fools jokes that could be played on friends.
One of the jokes was to duct tape a Freddie Kruger action figure to someone's rear view camera. The guy demonstrating also said that a picture could be used as well. He held up a picture of Donald Trump.
Cruz was just continuing the joke by referencing that previous segment.
Meanwhile, irresponsible "journalists" are ignorantly or deliberately reporting this joke out of context as being a serious comment. Typical.

Because I dont seem to remember this when Cruz people were defecating in their panties over the idea that Trump was “serious” about shooting someone in Times Square.
But he didn’t actually say what he would do either way. So how did he threaten to kill Trump?
Ted Cruz should disavow Ted Cruz’s statements.

It is hard to believe how desperate these Trumper’s are to smear Cruz. It must be frustrating that it keeps backfiring.

I sure don’t need a hankie. It was very funny and I don’t care how it is reported. Besides I think it probably helps Sen. Cruz more than it harms him. There’s a lot of people that feel the same way.
Laughable how the shrieking minority of Cruz fans here have the Leftist and GOP media on their side and still whine like babies. Teddy baby couldnt take one day of what Trump fights off for 8 months. He’d need Carly to change his diaper again.

The media and the GOPe are loving the division between the two non-establishment candidates, Trump and Cruz.
They are playing the rabid supporters on both sides like a fiddle, and those supporters are apparently more than happy to be played.
