Updated 3:03 p.m. | Personal information gathered from a cyber assault on online-fling facilitator Ashley Madison has now hit the Web, and a handful of Capitol Hill accounts appear to have been laid bare.
Per media reports, the client records harvested by hackers identifying themselves as "Impact Team" include some 36 million email addresses. Ashley Madison does not, by its own admission, engage in any type of email verification, making fictitious accounts another resource in the cheater's toolbox.
Approximately 15,000 of those appear to sport the “.mil” or “.gov” designation assigned to the armed forces and federal agencies, respectively. Impact Team has not divulged the names associated with the pilfered hook-up records, but a data-driven social media user combed through the information and compiled the most common occurrences.
Among those purportedly seeking relations away from their spouses are emails associated with:
The office of GOP presidential hopeful Ted Cruz, R-Texas.
The Capitol Police.
Seven folks with ties to House offices.
Nearly four dozen people who punch timecards at the White House.
Sans a deep dive into the dark web to parse the full batch of raw data released for public scrutiny, HOH has no sure way of knowing which of our friends, neighbors and/or colleagues were looking to get their freak on away from prying eyes.
A Cruz aide assured HOH that nary a soul in that office is surreptitiously on the prowl.
“The email address in question is press@cruz.senate.gov, a publicly and widely available forwarding address that is often entered into web contact forms by people with no connection to our office,” Team Cruz said of the generic mailbox.
No one from the Capitol Police or Senate Sergeant-at-Arms responded to queries concerning particularly lustful aides.

That's because even Cruz supporters are (subconsciously) afraid that there might some truth to this story since it becomes more obvious every day that he is not quite the guy we were sold.
Or maybe it's because I'm not the only Cruz voter who is more interested in his voting record than his personal life. Plus a lot of Cruz supporters are Christian, who by definition reject the idea that anyone is "without sin." Powerful men fall into sexual sin all the time, and I know of no reason to think Cruz is immune to that.
OTOH, I've been around long enough to know that "guilty until proven innocent" is that way to go in most cases, and that "where there's smoke, there's fire," when said by a political enemy, is generally spin with no facts behind it. Political figures who fool around generally get caught with pretty compelling evidence as soon as someone makes a serious effort to get it.
Reporters and others have been looking for evidence that Cruz has fooled around since he was running for Senator, and no one's found anything solid yet. Rumors have been flying for the past few months, and still there's no credible evidence. That, to my mind, puts the odds in Cruz's favor.
No one can know the heart, or salvation, of anyone else.
Moreover, he does have a family. Young son. Wife. And a daughter ready to ‘have that baby’.
If not campaigning is a bad thing for him, why are you complaining?

This is pretty weak gruel on which to fuel Ted hate. The email is press@, not an email address anyone mildly cogent would use if they are in the political arena. Staffers? Sure.

I was a Cruz supporter initially, but the phony façade fell away pretty quickly. What was interesting in our family is my 86 year old mother (and political activist!!) recognized it right away...
It’s funny you should say this. My 90+ year old dad also recognized the same very early in this primary, and isn’t surprised at any of the Cruz incongruences that have been popping up. Dad’s an engineer who deals with logic, facts, solutions, results and scientific truth. To him, politicians and most lawyers are an offense to his sensibilities.

Unlike Trump supporters, who proudly claim yeah, the Donald bedded dozens of women, even married ones, and is proud of it.
So far this primary the GOPe has burned through $600 million in other-people’s-money to get a GOPe stooge nominated. Nothing has gone right for them. It just goes to show what fat, soft, out-of-touch, incompetent boobs the GOPers have become. They’d better reverse course soon or these crooks will have to have to flee the country under President Trump.
