Ted Cruz denies affairs report; attacks Trump

Responding to a National Enquirer story alleging he had multiple extramarital affairs, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz on Friday blamed the report on Donald Trump and "his henchmen."
Cruz said the report was untrue.
He called Trump "a rat" and said there is no level to which he won't stoop.
"The question that people are asking is how low will Donald go," Cruz said.
Cruz accused Trump of being a coward who has problems with "strong women."
Cruz was in Oshkosh Friday morning at Lakeside Plastics for a campaign stop.
Later speaking to reporters, he went on the attack against Trump and his shoot-from-the-hip style.
"It will not be sufficient for a president. He will send tweets at Putin," Cruz said.

Does Cruz have evidence that links Trump to the National Enquirer story? If not, he is guilty of what he is accusing Trump of doing.

Misdirection. Trump doesn’t control the National Enquirer.
Whatever Trump's relationship with the publisher of NE is, I doubt very much it would cause NE to go to press with something libelous and open themselves to lawsuits and large money payouts ... these are businessmen after all.

“The report was untrue.” Weasel wording by a lawyer. Means one thing in it was not 100 percent accurate, not that he was not an adulterer. could be as simple as the number in it a detail stated etc.
A denial is clear not slick.

I would hope not. Ted Cruz has officially commented on the story and accused Trump. It’s also now on Fox and other mainstream outlets and the #1 trend on twitter is #cruzsexscandal. It’s going to blow up when Trump attacks him for linking him to the National Enquirer. It’s news.
