I agree.

Remember, Ted doesn’t want a floor fight.

Wink, wink...

It is a bit of a concern, consider that the circumstances of his birth are identical to those of Winston Churchill.

Churchill’s father was a British subject, his mother was an American citizen and his birth took place outside the United States.. in Britain.

Cruz’ father was a Cuban citizen, his mother was an American citizen, his birth took place outside the United States..in Canada.

Does anyone think that Winston Churchill was a natural-born American citizen at the time of his birth? [crickets]

Thanks for the Heads Up, Windflier. I was prepared to do a search after checking for tomorrow’s Caucus Thread.

Poor Ted; seems that no one likes him anymore but according to Jim, FReepers are divided pretty evenly between Trump and Cruz with Trump holding a small lead.

Jim also tells me that FR will survive this election cycle. Sometimes I have my doubts.

I’ve seen evidence of other sites that don’t agree with these two.

This is a rough draft. It’s probably as accurate as any.

I use it as a ball park figure and consider what the ramifications are with numbers in this general range.

I keep seeing people referring to more delegates on the table, and Ted only needing 80% of the future delegates.

I’m not real comfortable with that.

I have provided a link to where I get my figures.

I just realized the downside of being first to vote in the caucus. I got in at #2 tonight and voters keep replying to my post instead of yours, lol.

DO your “new posts to you” must be red all the time :)

Go look at your hero’s last tweet and rejoice and sing his praises.

What was Trump's tweet that you're referring to? There are so many of them.

I’ll bet you didn’t know she picked that handle as an abbreviation of her full name, libbylunatic.

Get lost, sicko.

Do you want to get banned again ???

I thought this was an **open** discussion thread. Those comments do not sound very hospitable. More like you want to have an echo chamber.

Interesting. At 105 more delegates for Trump, it will be time for Ted to retire and be the Senator he ran for.

The kicker is that, whatever the exact counts, Trump need only get a little more than half the remaining delegates to win the nomination outright. Considering his performance so far, that won’t be hard (not “easy” mind you, he’ll have to keep working for it, but so long as Trump be Trump he’ll manage).

Cruz, on the other hand, isn’t going to get >80% of remaining delegates unless Trump crashes-and-burns (though the media & Uniparty are doing their d@mndest to get him to). Should he at least get enough to deny Trump the ~55% needed to win outright, there will be the contested convention which I’m sure Cruz (and Trump) _won’t_ win as the GOPe will find some way to completely destroy the process and just coronate Romney or some such.

Honestly, I think it is being very hard for him to give up the campaign, and I don’t mean for political reasons.

At this point he has a massive operation around him. He’s the center of attention. The media hangs on his every word. He has folks adoring him far and wide.

The day after he calls it, he’s on the Senate floor, and nobody pays a lick of attention to him.

Ouch!

Too bad so sad. Thought you guys would be starting 25 breaking news threads to show the pics your hero tweeted tonight. Guess you will get to it later. He is totally classless but then you know that, part of why you love him.

Trump only has to get 105 more delegates to prevent Cruz from getting the 1237 delegates needed going in to the convention.

The main thing is whether or not Trump gets to 1237 delegates bound to vote for him on the first ballot. If he doesn't, then Cruz could get the nomination, even if he doesn't get to 1237 of his own coming in. The delegates of other non-Trump candidates--and there are hundreds of those delegates--could end up going to Cruz and putting him ahead of Trump.

“I thought this was an **open** discussion thread.”

You may as well be defending a paid protestor at a Trump rally. Libbylu is just as vile, and shouldn’t be welcomed by any civil person. I don’t even know why her zot was rescinded. Should have been permanent.

Yes, and I’m fairly confident Ted needs at least 88% of the remaining delegates. I know that’s a bit of a stickler, but 12% vs 20% is a big deal at this point.

Ted is essentially numerically eliminated already.

Feasible? Sure? Realistic? No way Jose!

Ted is done.

Further, even if he can drag Trump into a contested convention, all he will have done is hand off to the RNC/GOPe.

Do you have any idea what stigma he’ll carry around with him after that?

I tried to urge him to drop out last week.

Every day he stays in he looks like more and more of a GOpe tool.

Causing Trump to have to contest these last caucuses and primaries is a waste of Trump’s time.

It isn’t playing by Hoyle. He’s just a chump IMO.
