Glenn Beck Channels Mormon Prophecy in Utah for Cruz: ‘Body of the Priesthood’-'Constitution Hangs’
Breitbart ^ | 19 Mar 2016 | Rebecca Mansour

Posted on 03/19/2016 7:26:34 PM PDT by Red Steel

“I want to speak to you about something that may be controversial. And it’s not something that I have said when I have been out for Ted [Cruz] and now Mike [Lee]. But it’s something that this crowd needs to hear – that Utah needs to hear. The body of the priesthood is known to stand up when the Constitution hangs by a thread,” Beck said. ...

“I joined many times. What held me through was the prophesy that the Constitution will hang by a thread, and this People would remember what our Founders did. It is our responsibility to stand for the Constitution,” Beck said.

Ted Cruz and the audience then gave Beck a standing ovation.

The famous Mormon prophecy Beck was referring to is known as the “White Horse Prophesy,” which was purportedly made by the Mormon founder Joseph Smith in 1843.

Quit with the research already!

Catholics already have enough doubts about their chosen religion!

As for evangelicals I know some who believe Cruz is from God and even if it is through the Mormon church that’s okay with them.

Some is such a wonderful word.

How many; in this case; does SOME actually represent?

Of course, there is a lack of theology and discernment with the number of supposed Evangelicals who think Cruz’s dominionist theology is biblical.

Sadly; you are correct.

There are 'some' evangelicals who 'believe' all kinds of stuff that is not found in the bible.

Ask any Mormon how you get to heaven.

Here is an OFFICIAL start...

Here is MORMONism's own creed:

Articles of Faith

The Articles of Faith outline 13 basic points of belief of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
The Prophet Joseph Smith first wrote them in a letter to John Wentworth, a newspaper editor,
in response to Mr. Wentworth's request to know what members of the Church believed.
They were subsequently published in Church periodicals.
They are now regarded as scripture and included in the Pearl of Great Price.

THE ARTICLES OF FAITH
OF THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS
History of the Church, Vol. 4, pp. 535—541

  1. We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost.
  2. We believe that men will be punished for their own sins, and not for Adam's transgression.
  3. We believe that through the Atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel.
  4. We believe that the first principles and ordinances of the Gospel are: first, Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; second, Repentance; third, Baptism by immersion for the remission of sins; fourth, Laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost.
  5. We believe that a man must be called of God, by prophecy, and by the laying on of hands by those who are in authority, to preach the Gospel and administer in the ordinances thereof.
  6. We believe in the same organization that existed in the Primitive Church, namely, apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers, evangelists, and so forth.
  7. We believe in the gift of tongues, prophecy, revelation, visions, healing, interpretation of tongues, and so forth.
  8. We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly; we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God.
  9. We believe all that God has revealed, all that He does now reveal, and we believe that He will yet reveal many great and important things pertaining to the Kingdom of God.
  10. We believe in the literal gathering of Israel and in the restoration of the Ten Tribes; that Zion (the New Jerusalem) will be built upon the American continent; that Christ will reign personally upon the earth; and, that the earth will be renewed and receive its paradisiacal glory.
  11. We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may.
  12. We believe in being subject to kings, presidents, rulers, and magistrates, in obeying, honoring, and sustaining the law.
  13. We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul—We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.

Joseph Smith

When anyone point and says, “It is written..,” I usually stop listening.

When the “prophecy” can be interpreted in several different ways in different times it becomes a guess. And quite honestly as an educated, well rounded man, my guess is probably as good as the prophets’.

When the prophet is a rodeo clown (Glen Beck), I believe it even less.

No offense to Cruz, with whom I could easily cast a vote for, but Beck is a whack job.

Ask any Mormon how you get to heaven.

Though you MUST be precise in WHICH level you wish to attain...

HEAVEN-The Mormon church teaches there are three levels of heaven (three "degrees of glory"):

Celestial - for Mormons who have kept ALL of the laws and ordinances of their church.
Terrestrial - for religious people who aren't Mormons and for Mormons who have not met the requirements of the Church.
Telestial - where unbelievers go

HELL: A place of torment from which the worst of sinners are resurrected (if they repent) into the Telestial kingdom; only a limited number remain in hell forever, - the devil and the demons and apostates who consciously reject and work against Mormonism.

SALVATION: A word that Mormons qualify in one of three ways: unconditional or general salvation is simply resurrection from the dead, granted to all through Christ's atonement; conditional or individual salvation involves entering the celestial kingdom through works of Mormonism; full salvation means exaltation to become a God as a result of temple ceremonies and other works. The word 'salvation' can have a two-fold meaning: a) forgiveness of sins and b) universal resurrection:

The Mormons have several different levels of "salvation".

Do they therefore believe that God can work through Donald Trump...

God has used MANY folks of various types to get His will accomplished.

The OT is FULL of examples; if anyone cares to look.

Here's one that seems to support the Mormon claim of GOD the Father having a body...

Isaiah 45:1 New International Version
"This is what the LORD says to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I take hold of to subdue nations before him and to strip kings of their armor, to open doors before him so that gates will not be shut:

Your post gets my vote for the most reasoned of any on this thread, moving it from the ramblings of anti-Mormon fools, to finish with something to sink ones teeth into in regards the destiny of the United States and the forthcoming Presidential election.

Are you referring to ME?

I believe Mormonism teaches that the return of Christ will take place in the U.S. Missouri I think.

Fairly accurate...

They follow the Book of Mormon ahead of the Bible.

Uh...

..no.

There is not much in the BoM that differs from the bible; except for the fanciful fake historical stuff.

The anti-Christian stuff comes from the OTHER LDS scriptures.

Mainly Doctrines & Covenants and Pearl of Great Price.

They STILL use the suspiciously 'mistranslated' KJV bible; too.

Order yourself a complete set in one, easy to carry, volume: the QUAD.
