I want to speak to you about something that may be controversial. And its not something that I have said when I have been out for Ted [Cruz] and now Mike [Lee]. But its something that this crowd needs to hear that Utah needs to hear. The body of the priesthood is known to stand up when the Constitution hangs by a thread, Beck said. ...
I joined many times. What held me through was the prophesy that the Constitution will hang by a thread, and this People would remember what our Founders did. It is our responsibility to stand for the Constitution, Beck said.
Ted Cruz and the audience then gave Beck a standing ovation.
The famous Mormon prophecy Beck was referring to is known as the White Horse Prophesy, which was purportedly made by the Mormon founder Joseph Smith in 1843.

All of this raises important questions.
First of them, Trump’s coalition of support appears to include many evangelicals. Do they therefore believe that God can work through Donald Trump, and more specifically, does it signal that they believe the end times are not imminent since presumably Donald Trump would not be the most logical choice for somebody who did hold that belief.
Second question, is this new development a sign that the widely held view of “either/or” evangelical Christian or Mormon beliefs about the end times is about to be replaced by a mutually agreeable version with the common theme being a belief that the second coming of Christ will take place soon and will directly involve America (in the sense that America would be the chosen land)?
A third question would then be, supposing this became a strong dynamic of the nomination process and either man then goes on to win, how does that leave things with regard to the general election? One can imagine that Hillary Clinton would be inclined to campaign against any sort of hints that the Republican nominee viewed his candidacy as a necessary condition of the end time prophecy. Many Democrats are liberal Catholics or other non-evangelical Christians and so a Mormon-Evangelical coalition of end time believers would be a strong rallying point.
And the most fascinating thing is that none of this in any way seems incompatible with Biblical prophecy or even with more specific Mormon beliefs.
We must recall what was said quite often in 2008 about the present incumbent who has now served seven years. That too is interesting in this context.
As someone who has long believed that the end times are quite likely to occur soon, I would still say that prayer for discernment is the only valid course of action here, and I don’t strongly favor one candidate over the other one even in view of this question. To the extent that God’s will comes into play in a presidential election, one would suppose that God wants a strong and prosperous United States and also one that is receptive to His word. Looking at the two candidates, it is by no means obvious which of the two is better qualified on those two points.
We may be seeing astonishing things and I think these issues should be openly discussed and given prayerful consideration.
If Beck wants to go all LDS that is fine but don't drag Washington into the mud with kooky theories about secret prophesies. No way in hell GW a man of the 18th century Enlightenment would spew out some secret prophesy nonsense.
Because of Obama and his mother, in Jan, 2009 the Mormons closed their web pages listing all the dead dunked to all non-Mormons and gave the loyal members special codes etc to access all the info...
Before then I got to see for myself Stanley Ann Dunham’s name and the B M E S attached to her name..Baptism, Marriage, Endowments, Sealed...
I also was able to find my family members who had been dead dunked after they died...
if you have current Mormon friends they might look up various names for you...
Its very interesting exactly who is listed...
Catholic popes, Jewish victims of WWII, Hitler,
They even have dead dunked their version of jesus to save his soul too...and married him to Mary Magdalene...
Your post gets my vote for the most reasoned of any on this thread, moving it from the ramblings of anti-Mormon fools, to finish with something to sink ones teeth into in regards the destiny of the United States and the forthcoming Presidential election. An election that seems critical in our history, in retaining the Republic, or sinking further into moral decay, that will likely result in chaos, anarchy, death and destruction, prior to the second coming of the Savior.
Far better I say that The Lamb of God return to a nation intent on reform, repentance, and a people with broken hearts and contrite spirits, brought about by reform and repentance, believing in Christ as their only hope and redeemer. Far better than to suffer the prophecies in scripture regarding the conditions of the last days that bode ill for mankind, before His triumphant return to be our King for a thousand years.
Thanks for your thoughts.
Geez that is even scarier!
“That swearing-in photo alone shows hes on board with Stabby the Clown and his antics.
That being said, I expect these tactics will work in Utah.”
Sad
How does that saying go, about wrestling with a poop covered ... oh, never mind.
While I do not know a whole lot about Mormonism, it seems apparent to me that many Mormons still refer to former bishops as "bishop", even though they have been "released" or "retired" from their active Mormon office, (as affirmed in various online Mormon discussions here, and here, and here, and here, etc.), and they often tend to put extra weight on what a bishop - active or retired - might say about something. Am I wrong about that?
Many LDS have little understanding of the WH prophecy, but many will buy into “mormons saving” the nation.
Beck is trying to influence less educated/informed mormons to cast their vote for Cruz.
And by “less educated/informed” I mean those who know practically nothing of their church’s history. And sadly, there are many who just ignore it and remain obedient.
As an ex-mo, I believe that Beck getting this out into the public is a good thing.
I knew members of AA who voted for Ann Richards for governor because “She’s one of us.”
I said “You’re right. She’s one drink away from a drunk.”
I simply cannot laugh hard or long enough over this! Salt Lake must be having a fit! Lol
I believe Mormonism teaches that the return of Christ will take place in the U.S. Missouri I think.
They follow the Book of Mormon ahead of the Bible.
This explains why the Mormons do genealogies; that is in order to baptize the dead into Mormonism. Boy, are they going to be surprised.
It does teach that. And that Christ will rule from “Zion” which is in MO. Also they teach that the LDS church will run the country at that time (Jesus as a political messiah). All of this comes from Joseph Smith running for POTUS in 1844.
Glenn was excellent in the earlier years uncovering communism and corruption. I don’t know what in the hell happened to him. I miss those days and I feel duped that he led people off into HIS direction.
I used to watch his specials on CNN I think it was..
the shows were good...
