Former Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson made a startling admission in a new interview, essentially saying he didnt want to endorse Donald Trump but did so because Trump offered him an advisory role if elected. The admission comes just days after Carson endorsed Trump for the GOP nomination for president.
Carson gave an interview to Steve Malzberg of NewsMax TV. First, Carson said he wished he could have endorsed someone else...

Hard to call me “a liar” when I stated my opinion.
But being that you and your idol cry it constantly and indicrimanently, it’s no surprise.
“essentially saying....” means he didn’t actually say it. Yet Ertfelt wants us to believe his strong Christian perspectives.
Carson is revealing more about himself — that he is definitely an opportunist.
Not sure Trump made a good decision bringing Carson onboard.
Politics as usual.
Something just felt odd when Carson endorsed Trump, especially after the beating Trump gave him in Iowa, with the pathological comments.
I would have thought Carson would simply not endorse anyone.
Now we have an idea of what has transpired.
Essentially said?
You are pimping an editorialized quote
Utter BS
>>arent there laws against that type of endorsement...
IF there is a quid pro quo exchange of support for government job, that is unethical at the least.
No where do I see anything close to a quid pro quo.
More bullshi-!
“We shall see tonight my friend. I am prepared for whatever the outcome but I fear you are not. Please observe the results with a caring friend who can keep you from doing something drastic to yourself.”
The “outcome” depends on who owns the voting machines & the software that runs them...and the extent to which the voting results are manipulated.
Dr. Ben, please SHUT UP. These reporters are not your pals.
You’re serving them platter fulls of red meat to rip apart.
Fatso will get AG. Carson HHS . Interesting Trump has not said anything about VP yet.
That is part of the game of running. you get a TV show or a spot in the admin.
Malzberg is a big Trump supporter, Like Bill Bennett and Laura Ingraham.
Malzberg just making news....
That’s more like it and I’m glad he’s going to advise Trump and I hope he becomes Surgeon General or Health and Human Services secretary, or some other cabinet position should Trump win.....would love to see Christie as AG since Gowdy decided to go with Cruz.......(puke)
The man’s a neurosurgeon, clearly not an idiot. He is however a political neophyte.
I don’t discount that and am well aware of the potential. I am hoping enough of a surplus will exist that the ability to realistically cheat won’t be possible. We can all hope, can’t we?
That makes you a whore, Dr. Carson. It also makes you an idiot to accept a promise from a pathological liar.
Boss Tweed would be pleased.
Now, do people understand why Carson didn’t register with the people.
I applaud his great medical skills; which saved the lives of many, many babies and children.
However, that skill does not translate into a person who knows how to govern .. or build a government group which can govern according to the “will of the people”.
Well, it helps to know what was really said instead of a spun headline. How long was Dr Carson’s actual quote? Did it go beyond the rules for posting? Why fall for click-bait?
From what I’ve read of other posts here, the headline spin was about 180 degrees from accurate. THAT is why actual quotes help one to discern the truth. Unless that violates the intent of the post to begin with.
