In November Senator Ted Cruz appeared at the National Religious Liberties Conference in Iowa, where he courted the support of the conference’s organizer, Colorado-based pastor and radio host Kevin Swanson.

Cruz was introduced on the stage by Pastor Kevin Swanson – after he called for the execution of gays at the conference.

Kevin Swanson: Yes, Romans Chapter 1 verse 32 the Apostle Paul does says that homosexuals are worthy of death. His words not mine! And I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ! And I am not ashamed of the truth of the word of God. And I am willing to go to jail…

Now my friends let me introduce to you the next candidate for the office of President of the United States, folks please make welcome Senator Ted Cruz.

That seems a bit extreme. No?

Ted’s father Rafael also spoke at the conference.

At the same conference Pastor Swanson begged God to forgive America for Harry Potter.

I usually assume, if someone is a Christian, they agree with ALL Bible verses 100%.

When our "personal beliefs" supersede God's laws we find our lot between the rock of Sodom's defiling autonomy and the imminent hard place of God's unbearable judgement.

Yesterday it was a wedding cake or your business. Today it's your teenage daughter's restroom. Tomorrow it's the sanctity of your own flesh.

Nah we just pick and choose. God will understand. Probably, within a generation, we’ll boil the entire Bible down to John 3:16 and outlaw the rest.

US Soldiers told to ignore sex abuse of boys

But Swanson is a "toxic nut".

The dirt just keeps coming out about the Cuban Carpetbagger.
Check out his father’s nutty religion.
He speaks in tongues and has declared his son anointed to gather all the wealth at the end times and distribute it to the poor.

No need to even pull out the fancy latin. Every kid knows “two wrongs don’t make a right”.

There are a lot of us adults who seem to have forgotten it. :)

I’ll take that as a “yes” to my original question. Thank you.

Christian doctrine is that everybody has sinned and that all are therefore worthy of death but we are not to condemn others but instead ask for forgiveness of our own sins. I will grant that singling out gay people as being worthy of death suggests the guy may have issues...its kind if like an atheist saying gay people don’t have a soul. It suggests the speaker has issues but technically atheists dint think anybody has a soul...(materialistic atheists I mean)...but it is not the same as calling for them to be killed.
