A long-time political insider just made a bombshell announcement about conservative Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX), who is running for President.
This Republican operative, who has worked on 9 different presidential cycles, couldnt keep it quiet any longer after being in talks with key leaders of Cruzs and Senator Marco Rubios (R-FL) campaigns.
The insider is Roger Stone. He once worked for Donald Trump, and passed along his report to a popular radio host that Cruz used a high-priced attorney to confidentially request that Rubios team promise Cruz a Supreme Court appointment in exchange for Cruz exciting the race. This is in addition to recent reports that the candidates wives have been in contact, discussing why someone dropping out is essential.

That would be funny.
No he isn’t. This is a spiteful lie.
Roger Stone, political dirty trickster, officially stopped working for Trump but never stopped helping Trump. Don’t believe it. Just trying to hurt Cruz for Tuesday. Go Cruz!
“The candidates wives have been in communication....”
Yes, I just bet they have. Goldman Sachs sees it slipping away....
This rumor came out over the weekend. There are too many holes in it to make it very believable.
Its just a rumor at this point. Not sure if one should take it that seriously. However, if Cruz throws in with Rubio and the GOPe it will show him to be the massive fraud that we “Trumpsters” have claimed him to be all along.
Hmmmm. I guess we need to add hypocrisy to the many ways to describe Trump followers.
It very well may be. How much credence can you give to political rumors?
I’ve learned to be a tad bit suspicious whenever the word bombshell is used.
Not a fan of Cruz, but I’m surprised he’d settle for SCOTUS.
That seems like a far different career plan than a guy who is running for POTUS aims for.
If Cruz drops out, I suspect he’ll endorse Trump and they’ll be buddies again...and then Cruz will play a major role in the Trump administration.
He telegraphed that last week when he said he could support his friend Marco
Technically, he could endorse both Trump and Rubio. Not likely or probable, but it’s a choice that makes use of the word “either” imprecise and arguably misleading. Just sayin’
I heard this interview. Stone strongly hinted that Cruz made the overture to Rubio and to Trump.
The insider is Roger Stone. Also, Roger Stone has been the leak source about the GOP trying skullduggery to deny Trump the nomination.
I wonder if Ben Carson stayed around to get even.
I have as much chance of being the Republican nominee as Cruz does.
Don’t bet on it... The idea that if the GOPe rally’s behind Rubio in a 2 man race, that Rubio wins is not supported by facts at this point.
The assumption all of Cruz’s supporters would go Rubio is a huge myth. Combine that with the fact that Cruz and Rubio combined generally are polling under 40% in most national polls, doesn’t bode to Cruz dropping = Rubio will win.
Time will tell. Cruz endorcing Rubio will probably anger a good segment of his backers who honestly thought he was a principled conservative, and anti amnesty... yet if he endorces Rubio he shows that he isn’t and that segment of his support will either stay home or go elsewhere.
After seeing a couple of months of comments like #9 above, don't be shocked if they tell Trump and his supporters to be damned.
You have sleaze backwards.
