The new Viceland cable channel takes to the air Monday with the ultimate in user-generated programming.
The network set up a phone number a few weeks ago and invited callers. They reached a recording with simple instructions -- talk about what kept them up at night, or what they would do as president. Much of the network's first day on the air will be footage of executives listening to these messages...
There's a "let's put on a show" vibe to Viceland, a partnership between Vice Media and the A&E Networks. It replaces the H2 network on cable and satellite systems, available in about two-thirds of the nation's television homes...

Based on the article and the commercials promoting this new channel that I’ve seen so far, it’s a channel I have no interest in watching.
Upcoming
Balls Deep
F..., That’s Delicious
Gaycation
Noisey
Vice Essentials
Vice Guide to Film
Vice Land
Weediquette
Should I add it to my channel lineup?
Let me see ... ahhh ..... NO.
It will be a lifestyle-themed documentary programming aimed at the millennial set. In other words Krap programming at its worst! I will not watch. Today will H2s last day for H2 programming. Very sad!
Sounds like it won’t last long, and H2 may be right back on the air.
People will tune in for the pron and be disappointed when the quantity is insufficient.
What I’ve seen of the previews is a bunch of homo filth followed by a bunch of “urban” filth. No thanks.
On my 65” screen, soft porn is dreary,
regular porn gets old fast and gay porn ...
... how would I explain that to my dog?
It’s way past time for à la carte pricing.
Like socialism, it will work better this time with smarter people in charge.
heh heh
Millennials don't watch TV, recent data shows. They "stream". So if this is not available for "free" to stream, they won't watch (millennials don't pay for anything as they think everything is public domain)
I do not know what your politics are but I agree with you to a great extent on the cable bill! I have something like 200 channels of which I watch less than 10 routinely. To some extent the web has replaced TV for the purposes of selective viewing a great example is the Great War on YouTube hi dad seriously any network would have even thought of trying to make a program like it whereas on YouTube its been running for almost 2 years.
Can’t watch “pron,” don’t have a TV. What is it anyway?
I loved H2.
Won’t be watching this trash.
Next up- “Ow, my balls!” That was from Idiocracy. It appears that we’ve been headed that way for some time now.
The H2 shows are moving to the main History Channel.
It sounds really, really stupid
