NEW YORK (AP) -- A district attorney said Wednesday a young woman who accused five teenage boys of chasing away her father and gang-raping her in a playground has recanted her story and he's dropping criminal charges against them.
The collapse of the case was no surprise after a series of revelations that challenged the woman's initial story that she'd been attacked by a group of boys who drove off her father with a gun to get her alone.

When she feels guilty of being a whore, she has to spin it into a victim. Puritanism and feminism work hand in hand. The dad has been pimping the mentality, of course. Sick people.
It is just as possible that the woman is saving the life of her father or the lives of her family.
If she brings charges against 5 thugs her family is in danger.

The father was completely distraught and begging for help from a local shop. They refused to help him. This sounds like witness intimidation might be a possibility.

“She also refuses to cooperate with any prosecution against her father, who was engaging in sexual conduct with her,†the DA said. The woman had only recently re-connected with her father through Facebook.

This has happened before - children separated from their parents at an early age and then reunited when they are adults and the relation ship turns sexual. I have read of this but, it sounds like the woman has some mental issues that fueled that fire.
She should spend years in jail. Times five.
That’s the most likely explanation. Those thugs look downright demonic to me.
People who make false charges and cops or prosecutors who withhold info or make phony cases, should do the time the accused would do if they were convicted up to an including the death penalty.
I thought that could be a possibility too.
I am with you about fake rape cases, but in this case I see the posibility of intimidation by five thugs who probably have relatives that could hurt these two, even if the five would go to jail.
Repeat after me: black right, white wrong. It explains everything whenever there’s racial attacks or tension.
I am proposing in cases where the false claim is proven in court.
They also claimed to have witnessed the young woman having sex with her father in the park before the man staggered away from the scene, leaving his daughter alone with the teens.
hmmmm somehow I doubt he was all that hysterical... Drinking in the park with your 18 yr old daughter.... at night? really??
The question is who are the witnesses. The go-to strategy has always been to slime the victim so that no one pays attention to the crime against them. Rape victims are always accused of all sorts of foul things just like victims of street crimes are generally accused of owing the perpetrators money.
