China warned the United States on Wednesday not to adopt punitive currency policies that could disrupt U.S.-China relations after Donald Trump's win in the Nevada caucus.
Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying told reporters in Beijing that "we are following with interest the U.S. presidential election."
Hua was asked about China's response to a possible Trump presidency and his announced plan to punish China for currency manipulation with a tax on Chinese goods.
"Since it belongs to the domestic affair of the U.S., I am not going to make comments on specific remarks by the relevant candidate," she said.

Actaully Ms. Hua, it seems you already did.
Since you weighed in, I would not be surprised to hear from our next president soon.
He is also serious about US/China relations.
This thing is, this poster thinks for once, Trump is on America's side.
It has been more than one entire generation, since that has been the case.

We need to make public the foreign stock and asset holdings of every politician. And then ban them from owning foreign investments.
I think they are given so much Chinese stock that they have a much bigger financial incentive to help China than America.
Ah, yes. If we don’t let China bend us over, we’re all going to die. /s
The Chicoms are pissed they’ll no longer have the most famous wall in the world.
this is the sweetest of news. If China wants to know what badass Americans are... they are going to get a flavor. Thank GOD
WW3? waaa, they are so afraid.
LOL!
Trump/Kasich 2016 is a winning combination.
Donald Trump already affecting foreign policy and he’s not even President yet.
I fear for his safety.
I hadn’t thought about foreign countries knocking him off. That is troubling.
Good Grief! England, a former Mexican President, the Pope and now a representative of China!

I was thinking the same thing. Trump has elevated his campaign over the whole planet. I simply love it. The other candidates are out of breath trying to keep up with Trump. This is so funny.
A trade deficit means consumers are spending money on products they want to buy. Any candidate who wants to raise prices on American consumers through a tariff and influence their free choice from their elite central planning ivory tower is anti-freedom and anti-American.
If the prize you're winning is a barf bag.
No need to sue China, either they balance the trade with us or we stop getting screwed with $505 Billion hemorrhage every year. Do you realize how many factories we can build with $505 Billion EVERY YEAR, and how much we can improve our infra structure? The new Ford plant in Mexico cost all of $3 Billion.
Yes Chicoms, the greatest theft in history of world is coming to an end.
You are so un-informed on economic matters. I bet you never owned a large business.
I would much rather have a job paying me $40/hour and can afford American mad stuff, than work part time at minimum wage and be forced to shop at Wal-Mart for cheap Chinese made stuff. May be you prefer the second option.
mark 4 later
There is no free trade between the China and the United States so long as China charges a tariff and devalues its currency while the United States does not. If China does not want to pay a tariff, China must stop charging a tariff.
Donald Trump - With 3 Wins You Get Egg Roll. ;-)
LOL! (2 thumbs up)
