Glenn Beck has been campaigning for Ted Cruz this week in South Carolina, so he hasn't been able to keep up his radio schedule. He did take a moment to call in on Tuesday to talk about the death of Justice Antonin Scalia.
Beck's co-host Pat Gray couldn't understand why God wouldn't allow Scalia to live on until the election had finished. According to Right Wing Watch, Beck swiftly called the show to explain that God's motivation for taking the Justice had everything to do with Ted Cruz's campaign for president. Evidently, Beck believes Scalia's death will motivate Americans to elect him if they are faced with the haunting reality of a world without the Justice to fight for their liberty.
"I just woke the American people up," Beck said, pretending to be the mind of God. "I took them out of the game show moment and woke enough of them up to say, 'look at how close your liberty is to being lost. You now have lost your liberty. You replace one guy and you now have 5-4 decisions in the other direction. Just with this one guy, you've lost your liberty so you'd better elect somebody that is going to be somebody on [the court] because for the next 30 years, if you don't, the Constitution as you know it [is gone].'"
"The Constitution is hanging by a thread!" he proclaimed, repeating a line he has used on the stump. "That thread has just been cut and the only way that we survive now is if we have a true constitutionalist."

Cruzers, you can have this moron.
Dishonest headline. That is not what Beck said.
Read the article.
No, he didn’t say this. The headline is a lie.
This could backfire. If four or eight years of looking at and listening to Ted Cruz is the price of saving the court and the country, some voters may just give up.
Cruz and Beck keep on talking you are awesome!
Wowz - is this a satire piece?
So, uh, how did God kill Scalia?
Headline aside, the quotes from Beck as certainly bad enough!
Beck has become a monstrous embarrassment.
>> Dishonest headline <<
Yep, it seems as if Breitbart is not the only place that specializes in dishonest headlines.
He didn't
This same crap was posted this morning. Literal Holy Crap: Glenn Beck Says Scalia’s Death Part of God’s Plan to Elect Ted Cruz
NOWHERE in either article is Beck quoted as saying Scalia’s Death (is) Part of God’s Plan to Elect Ted Cruz.
Mediate. Raw Story. Consider the source.
Uh, yeah, he did.
This dude does not help Cruz, nor the GOP, nor any conservative. He is certifiable and needs to find a nice quiet home and a straight jacket that fits.
And my second question, Glenn, is if God wanted Ted Cruz in the White House, wouldn’t He just put Ted Cruz in the White House?
He is God after all, I mean, it’s not like He is bound by federal election laws or any other laws for that matter.
Just stick him in there and leave Scalia alone...
That’s officially crazy.
And I used to love Beck’s detailed diagrams on chalkboards showing the incestuous relationship between liberal non-profits, political groups and people in political positions, such as leaving office to go to non-profit and relationships between various groups.
“I just woke the American people up,” Beck said, pretending to be the mind of God...
And then it goes on.
Maybe it amounts to a paraphrase, but it’s definitely a bit strange.
I use to like beck too.
He’s gotten creepier and creepier. Crying, melting down. He seems
off kilter.
This rodeo clown has been hit in the head one time too many. Is he drinking again? Beck, did God tell you this?
Oh, it’s more than a bit strange. I’m not defending Beck. He’s fricken nutz. Has been for a long time.
But the headline is a liberal lie.
What’s sad is that the Trumpsters will glom on to any liberal line of BS and use it to attack Ted.
And on the flip side - Cruzers will swallow a full load of liberal lies when it comes to bashing Trump.
It works both ways.
My point is - SHOULD WE REALLY BE USED AS USEFUL IDIOTS BY THE LEFT (Raw Story and Mediate) WHEN IT COMES TO EATING OUT OWN?
