A woman who bought a Happy Meal from McDonaldâs six years ago says the food has not rotted.
Jennifer Lovdahl says the meal of chicken nuggets and french fries has been sitting in her office for six years.
She bought the meal as an experiment to show her patients how unhealthy the food is.
Even after all these years, the food has not decomposed.
She posted photos of the food and the box it came in on her Facebook page saying on one of the pictures, âthe box will decompose before the food does!â
Her Facebook post has gone viral, receiving more than 240,000 shares.
Frying locks in the freshness, baby!
That’s because they’re made of plastic and coated with lacquer.
Preppers take note! Survival food...
It’s total BS.
This isn’t true at all. The last time I got food at McDonalds, it was rotten the moment I got it.
Good to know, I can add it to my survival supplies.
So in a climate controlled environment (an office) in a low humidity environment (Anchorage, Alaska) some fried and salted food didn’t develop the bacteria it needed to decompose before it dehydrated?
Okay.
If you want to preserve yourself, eat foods with plenty of preservatives.
LOL! That’s what I’m talkin’ about!
Irradiated food - Had a fresh salmon fillet irradiated - keep it in a pail all summer in a closed garage and was fine (unchanged, unsmelly) when I threw it out in the fall ...
But do not introduce logic and reason into a thread that is meant to invoke hysteria.
Preppers take note.
They may not be decomposed but I’ll bet they’re hard as rocks.
Agreed. Not believing this.
Traveled cross country with my miniature dachshund. We got takeout at a McD’s and she refused to eat the McNuggets.
Smart dog.
When I was a kid we used to carve faces out of dried apples. I don’t know if they would last for six years, but they lasted a long time. Didn’t have to treat the apple with anything. Just dried them out.

Of course it is, and no doubt she uses patient confidentiality to avoid proving her claims. But anymore poof is not necessary to spread a lie far and wide very quickly.
