Thought I'd open up a discussion thread in case anyone wants to talk about the ongoing Caucus thread that Doughty One has created for us tonight.
Per the rules, there's no discussion allowed on the Caucus thread itself. Votes only (or your vote will be disqualified).
Let 'er rip here.
That’s what I’m afraid of. The mood of the country and especially the west is not good.
It's not only the west. That bone dry prairie grass is spread all over this nation, just waiting for the right spark to touch it off.
I have a feeling that much of America is crossing their fingers that we get a reformer elected who will take command of the situation before it goes up in flames.
I'm guardedly optimistic that we will.
I certainly pray so.
Will we see results of these cauci? I don’t see them for yesterday’s.

The table is at post #455 of that thread.
We'll see what happens over time. According to the table for yesterday, 60 votes (out of a total of 438) were "not valid."
May very well prove true.....read and seen enough in this and in history to suspect you’re likely correct....
I will not be voting for Trump under any circumstances whatsoever......Cruz to win....I’ll not cross any other bridge til I have to.
Like a dripping faucet, Trump will temper his populist message with a left wing agenda trend..... And half of Freepers will still love him. LOL
CAVEAT EMPTOR!!!!!!!!!
This election is about ending the siege upon freedom for Americans living in the USA as we are on the brink of being overrun. Nobody knows what that would feel like, except for those who understand that it’s been under siege for more than just a few consecutive years. These people will know when it’s happened if/when it does, while those who won’t will end up being in the way because they’ll be unable to lead or follow. There is still time for them, however little.
Reminds me of an 6th grade school exercise where my teacher gave the class an assignment, that contained 40 lines of very specific instructions.....
Instruction No. 1 was read all instructions before beginning.
Instruction No.'s 2-39 were something detailed as an example like draw 10 boxes with a triangle (40) emanating from each box edge.
Instruction No. 40 was "Disregard earlier 39 instructions, and turn in blank paper with your name on it
Only one kid in our class did it right. but it taught me a life lesson, even to this day.
When I hit the sack after midnight, they were doing it on the new thread, too ;-)
I noticed the same thing. We'll see if the daily numbers of posts that don't follow the instructions decrease over time; we can start looking in around 13 hours with this day's results.
I had the definite feeling that some were doing it on purpose ;-)

Good story. I should try that!
Yes, some misformed posts seem more intentional than others (though the ones that seem unintentional to me outnumber the ones that seem intentional to me). I do expect fewer of them over time.
I need clarification.
The results for each day’s voting thread will be on that thread? Because thereafter there was discussion on the thread, after the results. Then people began voting on it again.
So I am lost as to where I am allowed to comment on the day’s voting.
And what about those votes after the comments? Were they meant for the next day’s voting?
Maybe we need to keep this commentary thread a running thread, and post the results only on IT so people can discuss the results? And stay strong with the NOTHING BUT THE TWO WORDS on the actual daily voting thread?
Thanks for doing this, D1, and thanks for showing me where the results could be found, Lonely Bull.
We had that too, in 4th or 5th grade. There was a long list of instructions and some were things like “Stand up and clap three times” “quietly sing Happy Birthday” and such. The very first top of the page said READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE BEGINNING. And the last instruction, number 48 or whatever, was Do Nothing Written Above.
Soooo embarrassing as we all had been caught standing and singing and whatnot. I don’t remember if anyone did it right but I know I did not.
The sad thing about the caucus is that I really did think we would see over 1000 entries. There aren’t much of us.
I think the participation rate will pick up as days go by. Call us 'early adopters'. A whole lot of Freepers haven't even noticed it's running yet.
