Sarah Palin, the former vice-presidential nominee and Tea Party superstar, endorsed fellow Republican Donald Trump for president on Tuesday. The news came in a statement, but Palin is also appearing at a rally with Trump in Ames, Iowa, on Tuesday.
Palin's endorsement seems at once perplexing and logical.

Palin knows the Federal Government is broken. And some of the candidates are the same that did nothing to correct some of the corruption. As with me, both major parties just continued the old school ways and that put government out of control. So, what could she do. Trump is the only answer.

Not a chance she will be VP, but she’s there to shore up his bona fides in deeply conservative areas. I would imagine she would be part of the Trump administration, but not as VP.
