Erick Erickson is still on his period like Megyn Kelly
It is amazing that Trump has gotten away with deceiving people that he cares about the little guy. Trump has a history of exploiting working class people that has not been examined by voters.
The potential different is that Trump will go on the offensive and not get on his heels like Romney and Ryan did. They should have spun that around and turned it to their advantage.
Which rights is he talking about, the right to be deported?
And nobody will care. Cruz is a sneaky GOPe Bushie, so is his wife.
Cruz would be a GWB replay, with all the vitriol.
Tailor-made for a political commercial aimed at LIVs.
If Trump wins the nomination, he will not be the president. Whatever legal problems Hillary has, Trump is on record dismissing them. At the same time he has a long history of abusing people, espousing liberal fantasies, buying politicians, and being a general clown.
Anybody know if this is a hoax?
blah blah blah
People won’t care. Mitt list because he wouldn’t stand for anything
The press has held it’s fire on Trump?? Are you kidding? Trump is on the upside of his redemption curve and Hillary on the down side. He’s going to steamroller her and the press isn’t going to be able to do anything about it.
Redstate and EE, nobody believes this fat turd anymore.
It’s too late for you Erickson. Trump has already defined you, the media, and himself. You guys can’t change it.
No, his 47% remark will be his oft-repeated claim that wages — not minimum wages, but wages in general — are too high. Yup, Romney lost public beneficiaries, which isn’t too remarkable since this is the Republican party. Trump will lose wage earners. Also known as most everybody who is not a public beneficiary.
We appreciate your concern Joy, really.
“Mitt Romney lost because over 80% of Americans thought Mitt Romney was a cold hearted SOB”
Dream on Erickson. 80% of Americans knew what Romney was.
A Mormon establishment RINO. Then of course there were the
voters who didn’t vote because they thought he would be a
Shoo-in. I like Erickson but he’s off on this.
This is funny...it has been Trump 24/7 since June 16, 2015, and HE has controlled the narrative...not them. This will not change.
Aw Jeez, not Erick Erickson again.
OK wait, let me get this straight. He’s here illegally and he’s beaching about having a job. Yeh I’m bleeding. LOL!
The differences between Romney and Trump are pretty stark.
First, Trump is a fighter - if he’s hit, he hits back much harder. He’s done that dozens of times so far, and there’s no reason to believe that he’ll stop until he drops dead someday. Romney might be more polite and cultured than Trump (despite a net worth of roughly 1/10 of Trump’s), but that didn’t help him win - any more than Jeb’s family history of being in politics and having a cadre of knowledgeable hangers-on has helped him. Trump cares about winning, and will do whatever it takes to do so.
Second, no one really cares what Trump may have said or done - what most people who support him are after is a human wrecking ball, one who will destroy our present political structure to the greatest extent possible, and replace it with one that is geared a lot more toward benefiting the American people.
So, Trump won’t be perfect - big deal! Name me one pol who is, or who EVER has been? You can’t and won’t, because such a person has never existed and never will. They ALL have flaws because they are like us - human beings, who were purposefully designed to be imperfect.
The choice for conservatives (and I most definitely count myself as one) is between a semi-ideal candidate (Cruz) who has a far lower likelihood of prevailing in November, and a substantially less ideal candidate (Trump) who will at least put this country’s interests first - and who has a much higher likelihood of winning. To quote General George S. Patton, Jr.: “The Perfect is the enemy of the Good.” I choose the Good - Trump - this election cycle because we simply CANNOT, under ANY circumstances, allow a Dem to win. If for no other reason than the fact that there are probably going to be at least 2 Supreme Court justices nominated in the next term, and 4 or 5 over the next 8 years - plus hundreds of lower-ranking federal judges. If we lose, then the courts will be packed against us for the rest of our lives, and the precedents that they hand down won’t be easily reversed due to the legal doctrine of “stare decisis.”
No less than Ronald Reagan advised people that in politics if you could get 70% of what you wanted, to take it and run away. Trump IS that 70%. I gave Cruz money when he first declared, and have no regrets about that - but this is not his time. Let him get more executive experience under his belt (as Veep or A.G.), and get before the public more to dispel the negative image that the GOPe and the Leftists have created about him, and he’ll be unstoppable. He’s only in his mid-40s - he’s got a LOT of time to run, and a bit of gray hare will help him a bunch.
