Flip side: Trump has a reputation of being “working class” insofar as he really does work for his money, and (exploiting or not) has contact with workers. Hillary & Bernie (and many of the Republican candidates), however, are ivory tower / granite hallway types who have never “worked” a day in their lives, who claim to fight for the “working class” yet apparently loathe sharing airspace with them.
If the Left starts “examining” Trump’s interaction with the working class, you can be sure he’ll bring out 100x such people praising him for ACTUALLY giving them jobs.

Maybe so. But this issue is a big nothing burger. And the illegal aliens angle HELPS the Donald, imo.
He also has a long history of exploiting illegal immigrant labor and abusing the “temporary worker” visas to avoid having to pay American workers market wages.
Yet somehow people think he will crack down on the immigration problem.... go figure!
