Clinton’s gamble on Muslims

Hillary Clinton is doubling down on slamming Republicans on their anti-Muslim rhetoric at campaign events in both Iowa and New Hampshire. The attacks are mostly aimed at Donald Trump, the GOP frontrunner who has said he would impose a temporary ban on Muslims entering the country, but also target Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) who said Friday that the terror arrests made in his state underscore the need to block Syrian refugees from entering the U.S. Clinton's rhetoric in recent days has become more and more pointed, with the Democratic frontrunner claiming Republicans are "foolish" and "shortsighted" in their approach. "You know one of the reasons I've reacted so negatively to what I hear coming from the other side is not only what they are saying about Muslims is wrong and shameful, it's dangerous," she said at a campaign stop in Iowa this week.

The mystery is the Democrats recent affection for Muslims. Resolutions in Congress to protect Muslims from hate speech but nothing about the growing anti-Semitic sentiment against Jews in the extreme Left? If they think they will be able to replace the Jewish voting and financing component with Muslims in the Democrat coalition, they are completely looney-toon.

And you cannot expect to hold the LGBT groups in the Dem coalition if the leaders in the Dem Party persist in this love affair with Muslims, given the religious argument against LGBT folks in the Quran.

Lots of black folk are very religious Christians and you won’t find them harboring much love for Muslims as they become aware of the tenets of the Muslim religion.

Then you come to the base of the Dem party, lower income whites and white unionists. Even union leaders are seeing an erosion among their members toward being Trump Democrats and the reason isn’t higher wages, but nativist leanings against unchecked immigration and fear of Muslim violence.

The Left is completely out of step with the majority of Americans of both parties on this lurch to support Muslims.
