Eight-year-old Ethan Wilwert wanted one special thing for Christmas—not a puppy, nor, thankfully, a hoverboard. Ethan wanted an in-person makeup tutorial at the MAC Cosmetics store in his family’s local Florida mall. “A couple of months before Christmas, he and I were at the mall, and we went into the MAC store,†Ethan’s mom, Season Wilwert, told The Daily Beast. “He’s always been interested in makeup. It’s something he likes to do creative-wise. It’s something he gets excited about. He watches a lot of online tutorials.†In fact, Wilwert laughed that Ethan is already helping her do her own. “He does a much better job than I do on myself. Many times I have to borrow his stash of makeup. He helps me out.â€
One of Ethan’s favorite makeup tutorials is taught by Jeffree Star, a designer/model/singer/makeup artist who has a theatrical, drag queen style—and that’s what Ethan wanted to explore when he met with Joey Killmeyer at MAC for his one-on-one tutorial. Wilwert described an “immediate connection†between Ethan and Killmeyer, who was completely enamored of Ethan’s skills. “It was such an awesome experience,†Killmeyer told The Daily Beast. “He was so amazing and talented that he was able to do half of his face on his own. Granted, I did his eyebrows and his eyelashes, but he did everything else.â€
Killmeyer, who has been a makeup artist for 15 years, was so impressed by Ethan and so touched by Wilwert’s support for her son’s interest in makeup art that, with her permission, he posted a picture of him and Ethan in drag makeup on Facebook...

If his mother is single mom, she is trying to be his friend, and he is trying to please her. So she has subtly encouraged this behavior. Perhaps also she may have said disparaging things about men. There are many things wrong, she lets him watch videos about drag queen makeup, maybe she’s what we used to call a fag hag. Woman who hangs around with gay men because that instantly makes her the best in the bunch. It’s very sad. Pray for the boy.

Mom really wanted a little girl, and that with dad out of the picture, she is doing her level best to make Ethan the little girl that she wants.

According to this UK Daily Mail article, the man is the makeup artist responsible for dolling up young Ethan. The DM article also a lot more information about this decadent little family.

She said the makeup was in no way connected to his sexuality or gender preference.
Season said: 'He's too young for that, this is not about gender identity or sexual preference.
'This isn't what he does on a daily basis.
'He wants to be himself and go to school and go to gymnastics and do well.'
He'd had an interest for a while and wants to be a make up artist when he's older.

The best make up is if you can’t tell someone is wearing it.
I do know a couple women who wear a lot of make up to cover facial scarring, but that is pretty rare and they are not heavy on the colors. They try to make it look as low key as possible.
But there’s also more than just the heavy make up that screams *high maintenance.*

I was eating breakfast, saw that picture. Almost did not make it to the bathroom. Now I have to wait about 30 minutes and eat again. The first breakfast is now in the septic tank. On second thought, I need to wait an hour, my stomach is still going around and around. Or maybe skip breakfast entirely.
I hope what you describe is the case, and that he was made up as a lark.
I think the author of this piece of filth needs her head examined. She writes like this is something totally wonderful. She is as sick as Ethan and his mother. Ethan should not be with his mother any more; he should be removed to foster care, hopefully a family with a passel of thoroughly normal boys. His mother obviously wanted a girl and is encouraging her poor kid to become one.
Kids do NOT think up stuff like that on their own.
I hate government intervention as much as the next person, maybe more, but some people build a really strong case for it and this is one of them.
I agree. That boy needs a good dose of normal boy.
