Ted Cruz isn't only surging in the polls -- he's now in second place nationally and leads in Iowa -- he is also raising a truckload of money. In the last quarter of 2015 alone the Republican presidential candidate received almost $20 million from his supporters.
Not bad for a grassroots candidate who's despised and hated by his own party's leadership team.
Small wonder then that Cruz bragged about these results during a phone call with supporters, adding that he's confident he'll be the Republican nominee -- soon:
"Thereâs a very good possibility that the Republican primary will be decided by the end of March."
That doesn't mean, however, that he believes it's going to be an easy ride. Quite the opposite in fact: he also warned his supporters to get ready for an epic battle, telling them it would get "uglier and uglier and uglier."
"Weâre winning right now, and as a result, I want to tell everyone to get ready. Strap on the full armor of God. Get ready for the attacks that are coming. Weâve already seen hundreds and hundreds of thousands of dollars in attacks directed at us. Well I went to tell you that come the month of January, we ainât seen nothing yet."
He added:
"I want to encourage everyone to get ready, because starting tomorrow morning, we are in a 90-day sprint to win this nomination, and then to turn around and win the general election. To defeat Hillary Clinton in November of 2016 and to turn this country around."

Rush did a detailed explanation on the Rubio and Cruz. You should read it.
And why should any Christian support a candidate that an anti Christian like you would support? There is no reason I can think of, can you?
Post away, but you will only cause a greater split and make it clear that Trump supporters have no desire for any support from the Christian right.
But what is happening was foretold and I think we are fast approaching a time, when it won’t matter who is in office and metaphorically speaking all will come to the Colosseum to cheer the lions on. You will most likely have box seats.
come on granny, you can do better than that. What’s godly about four bankruptcies that destroyed contractors and other small businesses?
I understand the man on horseback reference. Still human history suggests accomplishing great things requires a great leader. You can never be sure if he’ll turn out to be George Washington, Napoleon, or something in between. Life’s a gamble.
And just where the heck has he said he's going to do any of that??????
Did you ever know a businessman who was not frustrated by the extreme effort that must be expended to satisfy unelected bureaucrats?
Trump has a lot to stake in this. He owns an enormous amount of property. The left is already talking openly about ending private ownership of homes. I read it in one of the national rags, could not believe my eyes.
Do you not think Trump understands the international rules of the game. (a lot of those rules are the “law of the jungle” rules)
I admit his past does not show devotion to conservative principals.
We face decisions. Bold political actions or wars in other than words.
Nixon-easque?
You just pulled that out of your ass
what does that mean? how does it apply to Cruz?
Rush was calling for Legalization of illegals also at that time. Even accusing callers who called for deportation "seminar callers," which was a fact I discovered after that thread was posted.
No one in the GOP-- not even in its most supposedly "conservative circles" had deportation as an issue, as I document in that link.
And why should any Christian support a candidate that an anti Christian like you
I'm a Reformed Presbyterian who has studied the Bible and debated unbelievers, cultists of all sorts, such as the gnostics, Mormons, Jehovah's witnesses, Armstrongites, or groups like the Eastern Orthodox, Federal Visionists, Roman Catholics, for more than a decade.
Supporting Ted Cruz is not a litmus test for Christianity. If anything, the argument is stronger that supporting him is a sign of shallowness and lack of discernment.
I prefer Cruz but I don't believe he can win in the end. I'll vote for Trump in our Primary because we need someone who can beat the Dems that doesn't hate America the way the democrats do.
Please, you're a proven liar and hypocrite, willing to spread knowing lies about blogs which reveal Breitbart's (for whom you write) financing by one of Ted Cruz's megadonors, and Breitbart's apparent passing along of information to Cruz's Psychoanalytics group.
You'd be more supportive of Cruz when you willingly lie for your employer? Please. You're a fraud.
So the person you want is the quiet person that will go to DC, make nice, and hopefully make sure none of the dishes get broken.
Sounds like a plan for failure. And sounds like you are totally misreading the mood of the electorate.
There’s a lot to like about Cruz but the numbers just add up to a big loss with him at the helm, sadly. Trump is a much better bet, numerically, where his striking demographic and party support mimics Reagan. We don’t know exactly what we’ll get with Trump, but the same was true of Reagan himself. He kicked Russia’s ass and forced Congress to cut taxes. But he also punted on Islamic terrorism when he could have killed the baby in its crib, and gave us a massive amnesty for millions of illegal aliens.
Then you're either:
1. Not one of the "Chosen".
2. A liar.
Because Ted didn't have the balls to send it. He had Heidi send it. I saved a copy. I thought it was quite craven and oily myself.
Pulled that out of me ass too. Special delivery just for you AM.
You should see my hair LOL
Works both ways bub, supporting Cruz doesn’t make people Joel Osteen either.
You can call yourself what you wish, but your post have a decidedly anti Christian slant and you attitude is clear. Even the daemons believe in God.
It one thing to read the bible another to live it.
No supporting supporting Ted Cruz is not a litmus test for Christianity, but your rapid words will not win much in the Christian support.
“try’s” = “tries”?
With all due respect, where do you get off thinking you speak for Christians?
You guys are vastly becoming obnoxiously arrogant to people on this site to the point where the top brass may need to start putting some of these Cruz people in time-out.
If you people can’t promote Cruz without besmirching the faith and conservatism of others, then you have a crossed as line.
You can support Cruz all you want, but we are not obligated to as well in order to prove to you guys that we are worthy in your eyes.
My point is that now that Cruz has those deep pocket donors, it's just not right to ask people for their last expendable $5.
Oh Augustus I guess we just can’t be pals LOL
It's wrong to ask people for $5 if it's a sacrifice for them, considering the lofty campaign goal.
